*Official* England in Bangladesh

Careful - I remember reading how Bres got seriously annoyed at some comments about his berth on another website.
 Which site was that?

This bowling attack of England's is dire. Almost entirely reliant on Swann on this sort of wicket. Sidebottom, Bresnan, Broad and Wright has to be one of the weakest seam attacks I've seen for a long, long time, even on a green wicket they'd struggle to bowl a remotely decent side out. We're only missing 2 of our main bowlers too (Flintoff and Anderson), so it's not like we've been ravaged with injuries and are scraping the barrel for bowlers, these are almost our best options. Pretty worrying.

Iqbal gone, Broad gets an undeserved wicket after what has been a terrible over. Good knock from Iqbal though, played really well, especially in the middle overs when wickets were falling.

Not exactly a glowing tribute to our FC system, are they? Suffice to say that when the umpire signals 'wide', you have to check whether he's referring to the delivery or to the bowler.
Ha, wants to try consuming fewer calories if he's so touchy. They breed 'em with healthy appetites in Yorkshire, clearly.

Sid diving for the ball on the boundary just then was like a fat bloke playing beach football with his kids for the first time since the previous summer.

In all seriousness, do our fitness coaches not monitor the players at all when they're off active duty?

Forget the fact that Sidey's piled on a few pounds, I'm more worried that he's failed to look remotely threatening with the ball in ODi cricket once again. How long until we bin him? Been dire in ODi's for a while, should never have kept his place after that terrible performance in the ODi's against Australia.

Heh, and he picks up a cheap wicket to end the innings. That's his place in the squad guaranteed for the 2011 WC then.

What do you guys expect? Its ****ing Yorkshire. Pies are what keeps them sane.

I'm more interested in KP's facial hair. The mutations its acheived are drawdropping. Every time I turn away he grows another weird combo.

Fair enough, tbh. Wouldn't care if he was built like Bunny Austin if he was bowling well, but as he's not and suffers from (seemingly) chronic bad backs now I wonder if his lard retention issues might not be a contributing factor to his current arseness.

In other news Mortaza not exactly svelte nowadays either, to continue today's fat seamer theme.

Cook's going to steal the strike for the entire innings and end up 229*.
I was thinking this was his way of telling he disagrees with the selection of Kieswetter. He should have orderd Kieswetter that a single would do on the last ball of the 3rd over :) .

 Start Craig. Edges off the spinner through the keepers legs for 4. Doesn't look particularly comfortable against spin early on.

Woah, that lbw shout looked very close too. Kieswetter's FCA is terrible.

Yep, looked like it was hitting middle and leg to me.

There we go, Kieswetter looks a lot more comfortable against seam bowling early on, and that was a nice boundary. Hopefully he'll make the most of the early chances, I don't see him lasting too long against Shakib though tbh.

That's better from Kieswetter from the first 2 balls of the over, getting to the pitch of the ball and is actually looking far less nervous now that he has a proper boundary under his belt.

Always looks to get on the front foot, does Kieswetter. Suppose it's because he grew up on the truer tracks in SA and completed his education on the concrete of Taunton. Think he might struggle if the ball darts off the seam.

Just had a worrying thought. If Cook was to make 2 big scores in this ODi series and outplays Kieswetter, we could end up seeing Andrew Strauss and Alastair Cook opening in ODi's. Eeek.
