Very nice catch from Smith.
Ellyse Perry's catch earlier was just as good too. Very glad they replayed it, was pretty impressive.

The catching's been pretty good all summer from us. WIsh I could say the same thing about the touring teams...

Seriously, stop making dramatic statements that are in essence rubbish.
I know you're jamaican and you wanna back your fellow countrymen but if you can't see how crap he's been lately then that's not my business 8-) , he should be stripped of the captaincy after his shambolic efforts in this series imo, the side has simply had no leadership from him at all.

I'm not backing him because of that. I've defended Chanderpaul as well recently. Chanderpaul seems to be getting some runs again now but Gayle's going through a bad patch. Previous to this series Gayle was going great with the bat.

Soooo stop making dramatic declarations and realise form is temporary and class is permanent. They'd have to be awful for a good while longer than a few series for me to even think of dropping Sarwan, Gayle and Chanderpaul considering what they're capable of and have done.

I was out for dinner but I was able to see the Australian innings and notice in the box where it says who the commentators are, and I noticed Punter was commentating. What was he like?

I've never said anything about Sarwan, my point is until we as WI fans start to put pressure on these guys they'll never learn, lets take football as an example, i see you've got Giggs on your avi, if he was shocking for five games in a row what would Fergy do? he'd drop him and prabably play Nani or Valencia right? so why shouldn't that logic be used when it comes to WI? we should NEVER accept mediocrity from our players, no matter how big a "star" they are, yeah sure Gayle will get runs against Zimbabwe and people might throw my criticism of him in my face but the fact is he's been found out by Bollinger in his series and we should seek someone else to lead the team under Gibson.

I think Gayle will remain captain, because there really is no one for the job, and nor do they want it. As Holding said, a lack of ambition by the team who look to Gayle for leadership in everything. I understand Ganga is actually a good captain, but is not good enough to hold a place in the team.

Because cricket isn't football. Footballers play much more games in a year than cricketers do and each one is important and can't be used to allow a player to regain form. Cricket has series like this which aren't really important and can beused to see what players are made of.

Not to mention Ponting was recently in terrible form and it wasn't until it lasted for months that people wanted him out. Players won't perform every series.

Don't understand using the logic of Ryan Giggs as an example. You drop a good player when out of form yes. Makes sense when you have the likes of Nani as a replacement.

But you drop Gayle and who do you replace him with exactly? Cannot go from mediocre cricketer number one to mediocre cricketer number two. Atleast with Gayle you know things will turn at some stage.

If you want to accept shambolic performances from Gayle Roseboy that's up to you, but that's simply not my style and i'll continue to tell it likes it is, yeah Football isn't cricket but form is form and he's had six games to get his act together but has failed each and every time.

Nani wasn't seen as a "good player" before was he? infact there was speculation that he was gonna get kicked out by Fergy, but now he's stepped up to the plate and is performing very well, which shows that some youngsters can grab their chance when given an opportunity, which is why i was saying we should field a young side in the first two ODI's against Zimbabwe.

Gayle performed superbly in the Test series so I don't see what the real issue is. The problem was the amount of pressure placed upon his shoulders every single time he took to the crease.

You're talking about the Roach comment right? my comment about Watson was a little cheeky but it's true though, the guy hasn't stayed at his crease for an entire innings against us.
Considering what he's done this year, I don't think that'd worry him too much. Unless you're expecting him to carry his bat. Strange criticism.

What...He opens the batting.
So did Gayle when he got a "not out" in the tests  , i'm not having a go i'm just saying it's weird that he hasn't been able to do it against WI reserves, if he can't do it in those conditions then he certainly won't do it against the other big guns. anyway it's not a big issue and i don't want the Aussies getting all upset again now do i!! .
