What so thats an excuse for bad sportsmanship? No it isn't, makes me want the redbacks to win even more now tommorow night.I agree with huss redbacks are a 2nd rate side.
NSW aren't going to well either buddy/

Fair point. NSW at full strenght with all the int'l players would have the best T20 in AUS. Wouldn't NSW still be able to defend their CL title still though?Hope the Vics win tomorrow, apart from Tait I really dont like this Redbacks team. Not much to like about them imo. Plus they are just wasting a valuable spot in the CL that a team like the Warriors or NSW could have had if they hadn't been trash on the day.
Disagree, afterall the only reason the tournament exists is money. The players want to be involved for the money, in the end the more they win the more money they get. It's huge dollars just to qualify and if a team who already got the big payday (NSW) are guaranteed qualification then it's literally just free money.Last year's winner really should have automatic selection in the CL.
Dont know how much one has to do with the other.Disagree, afterall the only reason the tournament exists is money. I definately think Modi & his cronies are trying to make the CL the cricket equivalent to the UEFA CL though. So i think it would be fair if NSW or any winning team get the chance to defend it..Disagree, afterall the only reason the tournament exists is money. Just on the Big Bash concept, didn't some states have 3 home games and the other states only 2?Disagree, afterall the only reason the tournament exists is money. I agree rather than have a season we should set up a panel to decide who they believe is the most worthy winnerHope the Vics win tomorrow, apart from Tait I really dont like this Redbacks team. That was what I was thinking, well the opposite, in that theres no way its like the UEFA CL where its a competition for the best of the best and the top players want to play it and if you are a great player thats where you are going to shine, thats what test cricket is for.I definately think Modi & his cronies are trying to make the CL the cricket equivalent to the UEFA CL though. Think you might have missed my point, never actually discredited SA, they have beaten the teams they've had to, I just don't like much about their team.I agree rather than have a season we should set up a panel to decide who they believe is the most worthy winner
What are some of the things you don't like? just out of interest?Think you might have missed my point, never actually discredited SA, they have beaten the teams they've had to, I just don't like much about their team.
Agree with this. You only have to see the effect high class cricketers have had on the Big Bash this season (Bravo, Naved and Afridi) and the crowd reaction and response to having actual stars playing. Australian fans would swamp to games if the likes of Clarke, Johnson and Hussey turned out. A window of opportunity can be opened by starting the Big Bash after the Test series, and delay any ODI's until after the conclusion of the Big Bash. Only need a two week gap in scheduling.Next season they really need to find a way to allow the internationals to play in the Big Bash. Too much at stake for domestic sides to have half your side away. Also it would increase the potential of international players.
Just dont enjoy watching them play the same way as the other state teams. As I said apart from Tait I just don't think they are that exciting, I mean Tom Cooper ffs how does he have a state contract, Cosgrove is unfulfilled potential, Manou is your run of the mill shield players and the rest like Harris, Borgas, Clearly are all just a bit meh. What are some of the things you don't like? just out of interest?
Do they have to be exciting though? its good that you like Tait though..it seems with everyone you either rate him or hate him. I can see where your coming from I think, but I think lately there starting to build a decent team with Borgas and Harris ect playing well and are starting to win games and challanging the better teams unlike that crap a couple of seasons back when they like won one first class game. And some of the young talent coming through is promising.Just dont enjoy watching them play the same way as the other state teams.
