Yeah its the first thing that strikes me about her. Wonder why she hates it, its certainly not a bad thing lol..
Blocks out the rest of her personality she feels, and she often gets stereotyped that way. She's actually a pretty smart girl. I only spoke to her once, but she definitely did not seem like an airhead or anything like that.

Well, comparing all those results and taking in all the bids fairly will probably take some time.. I cant wait though :D

Kudos for going through the trouble of organizing this though..

Hmm, I dont think being bubbly is necessarily being an airhead.. I've heard her talk on tv and she seems rather fun loving. Certainly not in a bad way either..

Round 4 will be the 2nd batsman so can I have a nomination along with your bid - will set a deadline of 2pm Sunday GMT but if it's not up immediately it's because I'm doing something else, will try to ensure it's done at some point that afternoon.

Over the moon actually. Leaves me open to play either two spinners or go for all out pace now on.

I have no idea how much I spent on Hobbs but he is without a doubt the best batsman on the list. I'm very happy to get an opening batsman out of the way, cause I don't think their will be so many opportunties down the track for great opening bats.

Knott+Hobbs = Go Enga-Nufan!

I think Miller and Gilchrist = the best core to a team. Deep batting lineup + best wicketkeeper/batsman. So in two players, instead of having a gloveman, and a batsman, I have a bowler, a batsman, another batsman, and a wicketkeeper! Me > All you fools.

Suck my Sanga and I'll top it off with a bit of Brian Lara sucker.:)

Good luck getting all your catches dropped (comparatively). Sanga's batting = not great when he keeps. His glovework = decent, but not all time quality.

Gilchrist > Sangakarra as a player.
Miller > Lara as a player.

Either way, you lose. :p

It would be interesting to see how much you've spent on your two players so far compared with others.

It's a bit hard to compare teams with only two players down! Some people maybe saving the money for later knowing who exactly they want.

Much more than anyone else actually. And that's something I took into account. I've spent 40% of my budget with 9 players still to go, but I decided on two things that I need most. The thing is, every side is going to be diluted to some extent because there are 17 people picking teams, so everyone will have relative weak points.

I wanted a base of two players: explosive batsman, and a pace bowling all rounder. I feel that if you have those two ingredients, you've got the best backbone possible and you can build around that. I think superstars like that can win you matches, and keep you in matches, all by themselves (as Gilly so often showed, and all pace bowling all rounders have shown throughout history). I want game-turning players as the backbone, and complement them with solid players as needed.

The fact that I got a top class wicketkeeper along with one of the most explosive batsmen of all time is just a huge bonus, and plugs a huge hole in that #6 or #7 spot which is going to be a weakness for a lot of the teams in this competition.

Spent half almost half his budget.

Spent $1.25 Million so far and have by no means got a dud player, happy with that.
