Bull ****. Lets assume that a terrorist attack orchestrated by any terrorist outfit in the world, whether it be Iraq, Iran or any other country(even Indian ones), there will be fingers pointed at Pakistan as a knee jerk if nothing else. Then it is going to take about a year at least to find out who did what. Do you think the Pakis are going to come and play in the IPL? The franchise owners who paid for the concerned players services would be screwed over and frankly it is not a good thing when you look at it as a businessman.Bro, at least 3 of the 11 Pak players had Indian visas as per the preconditions set by IPL and Modi, and Indian High commission clearly stated that their was no issue with issuing visas to the rest of Pak players. Gov. cleared them, PCB cleared them, and they had the clearance for visas. Otherwise IPL would have never put them up for auction.
Its a sad reality that they will not participate.
Please at least accept the fact that Pak players are one of the best out their right now. They are playing for other leagues around the world. It could never be a bad investment to have Afridi play for 250k when you have sorry players like Kaif and Martyn selling for more.....
The only reason they were not picked is because of their nationality.....lets accept this fact and i totally understand why...
I wouldn't be surprised if no Pakistan player plays in the IPL until the peace talks resume and the countries resume and improve their bilateral ties. Unless the political situation improves, this situation isn't going to improve. Period.
Until the 1998 Indo-Pak series in India, the two countries had not played any cricket in Indian soil for 18 YEARS iirc. So, this isn't anything to feel remotely bad about compared to that time. I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were a person wishing to see players from Pakistan play in the IPL for another 5 years at least.
