Woodster
International Captain
Hey Woodster, still content with England resting Strauss, KP, Swann and the other 3 first team players you mentioned earlier?
Was certainly surprised by that, but I did watch the full day and India fell into a trap that England would need to be wary of. There seemed an element of India's top six leaving it to each other, confident someone else will do the hard work, their intensity levels were nowhere where they would against a top side. They came across with having little respect for their opposition and suffered. The shots they were out to were terribly, Sehwag was lazy off the back foot, Gambhir's was very loose, Dravid was comprehensively cleaned up to a ball that moved ever so slightly, but he was working it too square. Yuvraj got out to a rank full toss, and Karthik was on the offensive far too early.Does India 8/211 against Bangladesh not change it at all though?
I cannot see if England do make changes, not as many now as I may initially have hoped for, the incoming players taking international opposition too lightly.
But yes I would still have liked to see us make a couple more changes to the squad.
