The auction list is quite interesting, though some will be targets of bid wars, while some others may be bought out by teams quickly.
Australia- Phil Hughes and Ashley Noffke should be in contention, from the current set. Noffke's useful, and impressed in his first season with the Royal Challengers. Will he get a second dig with them?
England- Morgan and Swann are obvious choices, though the rest of the players in the fray are hardly impressive.
Pakistan- With their team being the reigning World T20 Champion, they should be in demand. The most sought-after players will be Afridi, Razzaq, Imran Nazir, Umar Gul and Royals lynchpin Tanvir. Youngsters Aamer and Umar Akmal should have a chance, but franchises should steer clear of Kamran Akmal.
South Africa- Tyron was picked up by the Royals last year but was inexplicably benched for most of the season. I wonder where he'll go, but it's surprising that Rajasthan have just let go of him, without renewing his contract. JJ will come cheap, but may not last the whole season- most teams wouldn't have a vacancy.
Sri Lanka- Difficult to find one- most Lankans don't have a very great strike rate. Nuwan Zoysa, by a long shot, would be useful, but there are other more useful options to choose. Weeraratne's a hard striker of the ball, but doesn't take many wickets, for an all-rounder.
West Indies- Many of the West Indians may just be the value-for-money picks for franchise owners. So the idea is to get them while they're still cheap.
New Zealand- Shane Bond will be the star attraction. Lou Vincent and Nathan McCullum will also be good for the teams who pick them. Vincent has two centuries, while McCullum is quite a productive T20 all-rounder. The absence of Aaron Redmond and Brendon Diamanti is a bit of a surprise.
