Oh and Anderson again showing why I question him as an automatic selection. Just goes missing when there's plenty there and we know how he'd produce nothing if there was no swing.

Onions non-selection a complete ****ing joke.

Anderson outbowled Onions in the previous three Tests (overall).

Tell me how Onions has bowled better than Anderson?

Yes, he's had a bit of bad luck here and there, but looking like taking wickets isn't as useful as taking them, and Anderson took twice as many.In fact only Swann has taken more wickets in the series. To drop the seamer with the most wickets in the series would be slightly on the silly side, one thinks.

That being said, I'd have picked Onions anyway, as I've said repetedly. But Anderson & Broad have had better series than him with the ball.

Onions plays for Durham. Surely you knew the answer to that?

Flashes of lightening now coming from behind the ground apparently, and the clouds look pretty ominous. Doubt we'll be on for much longer. Must be frustrating for South Africa that as soon as they're really on top in a game and have a real chance of winning on a deck that's still doing something, it ***** it down with rain for half the day.

Haha yep, there we go. Players off.

That's complete horse****. Onions comprehensively outbowled Broad and Anderson in the first two Tests. If you think otherwise you're on another planet. Onions wasn't at his best in the Third Test, Broad wasn't much use either. Anderson's one better Test doesn't outweigh what Onions did in the first two. Anderson has been back to abject anonymity in this Test.

hang on, Onions outbowled Broad in the first two Tests? Except that Broad bowled England's best and most important spell of the whole series in the second innings (admittedly Onions had his best innings of the series first time out).

And I said that i felt overall Anderson has bowled better than Onions in the series, not that he bowled better in each and every Test. Of course we should just discount the one Test where there is approximately ZERO argument for Onions to have bowled better than Anderson and base it on the other two where it was...close?

And surely anyway, if deciding to drop a bowler you drop the one who has been poor in the last game?

Jeez, I left home after Swann's first couple of overs with him turning the ball square and the batsmen looking clueless

With the seamers hooping it around at the other end, I thought it was game on

What the hell happened?

Was it great batting or **** bowling as I cant imagine the pitch suddenly died?
