Erm can someone explain to me why that deVilliers decision was overturned? (I was in bed when it happened and just saw it properly for the first time)

Apparently Harper didn't bother to ask for the slo mo replays (which very much look like there was an initial glove...and hit the bat afterwards - in which case if its inconclusive the on field umpires decision should stand, though to me they were pretty conclusive, if he'd bothered to ask for them)
