Normally I'd agree with you, but this pitch is clearly fairly innocuous when the ball goes soft, so I think these two are doing a great job.

127-4 plays 291 at Newlands. What a game. This is what Test cricket is all about. Gutted that I am stuck at work today, and gutted that some influential people seem to think that T20 garbage is in some way comparable to this.

I love the presentation of Tests in South Africa, there's something about it. At the very least the commentary is streets ahead. Am enjoying this series more than Australia vs Pakistan.

CricketWeb wasn't working at the time, but I swear I saw the bail move on the replay of Morkel going between Prior's bat and pad a while ago; I'd really like to see that again. Did anyone else notice it?

Belly, Belly, Belly. Did an excellent job before playing that stroke. Both Cook and Bell out to poor shots, shame for Bell, he did well up until that point. At least he made a few in an under pressure situation.

Swanneh comfortably IMO. If Broad batted right handed (naturally ofc, not handicapping himself) it might become a bit more of a contest.
