Top effort by Cosgrove to see South Australia home.

Symonds yet to really find his groove. Struggled to find the boundary when the Queensland innings was screaming for more runs, and sending down some pretty average deliveries at the moment.

Disappointing couple of games for QLD. However, I would rather us do well in the shield than the T20. Thinking of going to the game on Friday though, if it's not rained out.

Still think Queensland was unlucky in game 1, and hardly flogged tonight. How awesome would an international class batsmen fit into the Queensland lineup right now?

Just got back, thought Cleary bowled really well tonight. Tait was shyte, I do wonder whether his place is in question at the moment because it should be. He's a slug in the field, can't bat and is bowling poo.

Speaking of slugs, gotta thank Nathan Reardon for the win.

Was good to see Afridi so involved in cheering his own team on too. Cosgrove batted very smartly tonight. Unusual, wonder what's wrong?

AWTA. If QLD had a world class batsman who slotted in at #3 or #4 I think the side would like a crapload stronger. At the moment the bowling is fine, but the batting just has a flimsy look to it.

Notch this one down to the fantastic marketing campaign CA has undertaken over the past month, IMO. Quality return on investment.

That and gun internationals. Only a few key players of the locals were cheered by the crowd but Afridi and Pollard were clapped off. First time I've seen an ovation for 9 runs.

Did enough Australians watch the T20 Champions League to know who Pollard is? Sure he scored in the match against WA but still.

I guess Pollard oozes cool though.

Crowd loved Afridi though.

Seeing the IPL and Champions League is one thing, but when you see Australian crowds cheer Afridi over Symonds you know the international player rules are working.

For those have seen him bowl, how has Tait looked?
Read TC's comments about five posts above.

He has his pace, but has woeful control right now. His fitness is terrible, he looks spent after each delivery. I reckon Mark Cosgrove would almost beat him in a run around the Adelaide Oval.

Pollard dropped again, and then he skies one again and is out.

Weird ****.
Think Pollard got caught out (so to speak) by the long, long Adelaide boundaries. The 4 he hit would have been 6 on most grounds.

Yep, pretty much. Looks well short of a gallop. On form and fitness, should be out of the side.

Mark higgs is excited by the expansion of the kfc cup,and can see a chance of a canberra side playing in the extended comp, whether a city side or not.
The comets now play in the australian country championships.

Not the Comets exactly, its an ACT "A" side more than anything, anyone who has played more than one game in the Futures League isnt eligible for the Country Championships.

Good to see the Redbacks winning some games, think we can win the 2020 competition this year.

Good to see Cleary back aswell.
