Well done to Otago and especially Broom - nothing better than seeing someone dropped from the BCs and then go and succeed back at domestic level (unless it's someone like Fulton, which only confirms his failings).

Will be incredible if CD manage to chase Wellington's total down.

How seems to have scored about 50 of the last 60 runs - what a champ.

So 94 needed from the final session with 10 wickets in hand - I wonder if Wellington are going to start bowling negatively.

Apparently Ingram and How's partnership is the highest for the first wicket in New Zealand first class cricket - what an amazing performance from the pair.

Yea congrats to Ingram and How. Peter Ingram usually makes one of these types of scores a season doesn't he?

Edit: 400.

Haha, Tugaga with the breakthrough - makes you wonder why this is only his fifth over of the innings?

Injured perhaps?

A pity for How to get out now. Looks like a dreadful day for McKay & Patel.
Jeets still with a tight economy but no wickets. McKay seems to have really being taken after by Pinga. This is such a shocker, really disappointed with this match.

I don't think Wellington should let the result affect themselves too much - for three days they dominated the match (besides the first the first 20 minutes of day one) and CD's chase was a freakish effort. Just by analysing the few successful fourth innings chases in excess of 400 over the history of the game suggest that Ingram and How were simply in the zone and it was their day, and without knowing if there were any dropped catches or umpiring errors, I'd say it just clicked for them. McKay and Patel have bowled so well the entire season before this innings after all, I guess today simply wasn't their day.

That chase was just spastic. How often do you see such a score, even in the first innings on a road? 4th innings, chasing, etc, that's just amazing.

Where are you guys seeing the scores for this? Cricinfo seems to be woefully behind for me (has CD at 0/69).
