*Official* English Football Season 2009-2010

Norwood's on Fire
According to Tomkins, Rafa was told by the experts when they bought Aquilani that he'd only be a month away.

Johnson's ok, in fact more than ok. He has been one of our best this season. He'll never be Maldini on the right, but his pluses outweigh his minuses. Unfortunately, this game, after the own goal he lost it. He tried to do too much to make it up. Was good in the first half.
TBF Aquilani was playing for the reserves in October

Johnson let himself get done a little too easily tho.
Had to laugh ey? All his comments after the weekend about "attractive football" and skill levels, and then pulls out this.

Deadset, want to punch Johnson, Carragher, Gerrard, Mascherano, Skrtel, Lucas, Kuyt so hard. And then kiss them tenderly straight after.

I am diseased.

**** off Almunia, **** off Denilson
Absolutely bloody right, they were both appalling. Denilson has to be one of the most insipid and ineffectual players going at the moment, brings absolutely nothing to the team. Thought Song had a dodgy game as well, looked alright in the tackle, but his passing was awful, really really bad.

Yeah, but he was at fault for both our goals today, which purists would argue is bad for a full-back.

He played a few mins. Then got a flu and was out for another week. We could have used him sparingly in some games, but a lot of those were very important. I don't necessary agree with Benitez's cautious handling of Aquilani but I understand it.

I am not saying he was good in this game. He undid his own good performance. What I mean to say is that judging him by this performance is a bit unkind to the fella since he's been pretty good for most of the season. One of our best players easily.

Slightly harsh for the second though, made a bit of a hash of the clearance and puts pressure on the shot but the touches and the finish were just pure quality. Arshavin really must love playing at Anfield. Hope Liverpool don't put in a bid for him tbh.

Oh and Rafa, lol. Was a priceless picture in the post match presser.

We have Wigan, Pompey and Wolves in our next 3. We have to take 9 points from these 3 matches. Then we have Tottenham and Villa again. We win those and we've settled ourselves to a large extent.

Haha, I love Almunia. Worst guy ever, doesn't look like he gives a toss, or is even actually concious. WAG.

Things looking pretty grim in Scouseland just now. Outta the CL, struggling in the Prem, new ground looking incresingly distant & mired in debt.

Any chance of a Leedsesque implosion? If they don't make the top four things will get a bit tight, money wise...

Magic ping, wasn't it? Reina never even moved.

Johnson let himself get done a little too easily tho.
Reina was still sitting next to his left hand upright, so would have needed a good dive just to make the photograph in tomorrow's papers. Wouldn't have had a hope even if he had been positioned properly though.

As for the stuff about late goals, didn't Liverpool get a bunch of points early in the season through late cowardly thug strikes?

Still shocked at how well we closed the game out. Defended proffesionally and worked our bollocks off. Liverpool, what a complete shower of ****e if they couldn't do anything against these guys. Incredible, holding a lead, away from home, against a "big" team.
