Interesting, all three wickets have fallen to attacking shots, think that if Australia want a draw they can still have it fairly easily.

I think there are two issues: 1) players should do whatever they can to win, if that includes sledging, or being a bit liberal with some rules and getting away with it, go right ahead. 2) It's the job of the administrators to do what they think is best for the sport. It's their duty to prevent the players from cheating and catch them when it happens.

I don't blame the individual players for sledging, or scratching a ball, or a handball (in case of Thierry Henry).
Then I don't think you can ever be against sledging in the game.

Depends. Right now, since its allowed, should players do it? Yea, I would if I were them. Maybe get the 12th man in there and just completely go over the line with anything you can think of to get the batsman mad - if he gets banned, who cares - one for the team.

If I was an administrator, I'd move to introduce a rule to stop that stuff though.

No doubt.

If Hussey, Clarke, North and Haddin (as well as Johnson and the rest if needed) cannot bat out 39 overs on a pitch like this, we might as well just give up our status as a test-playing nation.

I like Tubby's idea of sending in Johnson or maybe Haddin if we are doing well to try to smash it around a bit, saving North to help save the game if need be.

Hussey gets out poking outside off, that's not like him

Hopefully this gets interesting...but we don't lose. Would make for a good afternoon.

Come on Windies, need one more right away. Would be a lot more intersting if Virender Sehwag was coming in now.

Not sure about the idea that we should be scoring quicker against Benn. He seems to be bowling well at the moment - mixes his pace up and is pretty accurate.
