Just realised that the one day comp starts this week, predictions anyone? Personally I find it hard to look past last years champions, our team is pretty much the same as last years team.

Try opening the other eye then. :p

Will go back to the squads and have a look, ND should be right up there. Otago with McCullum is always scary.

I thought it started next week? 3rd round of the Plunket Shield starts tomorrow.

Ah finally, Wellington might be giving Michael Pollard his first-class debut this week. Massive talent this kid, he was the top run scorer in last years national under 19 tournament and made the NZ under 19 team as a result. Apparently he's very Martin Guptill like.

Wagner picks up Matthew Bell first ball, hopefully he has a good game because he's been pretty poor this season. Pollard's 12th man

Brodie still in fine form I see, currently 43 not out. T minus 2 until callup to the BlackCaps (after Watling)? Watling and How both not out with starts as well.

Important innings for Watling, Cumming and the CD pair if they want a chance of their test debuts/spots back.

Who reckons the selectors will throw Brodie in the deep end? Or am I just being cynical?

Too cynical, his average last season will still be fresh in their minds.

Stop please, it's getting old. Ingram isn't even close to being test standard and How would now be behind Watling and probably even Brodie.

If McIntosh can get into the Black Caps I'd say Pinga stands a chance if he scores as many runs as he did last season.

But Pinga, McIntosh, Cumming and How only really stand a chance to average somewhere around 25-35 with the bat.
