Maybe they just don't understand that a bowling average of 33 is great for NZ?But surely career bowling average is the only measure of greatness?

No, no, no. There is a bowler that has a better average - Shane Bond. He's world class. This makes Vettori pure unadulterated crap that doesn't deserve to survive on the bottom of my shoe in comparison.Maybe they just don't understand that a bowling average of 33 is great for NZ?![]()
Now you're being just a little silly, unless we are all of a sudden talking about ODI cricket.vettori is a super player. he will walk into any side in the world just for his bowling including ind and sl. i dont understand why people under rate him so much.
Vettori and Vettori.Honest question.
How many of the players (other than Vettori) that have taken 300+ wickets and scored 3000+ runs are also poor Test cricketers?
Actually, cut out the runs part, how many cricketers that have taken over 300 Test wickets are poor cricketers?
His province are the ones that really benefit from Vettori's international appearences. It means they don't feel obliged to pick such a deficient bowler to damage their first class chances.
Especially if you remove his successful year as a dispensing chemist in Dhaka.
Hamilton pharmacies are also thrilled that, due to his international cricket commitments, they don't have to worry about being sent Vettori as a fill-in pharmacist while their regulars are away. Apparently he has a poor grip on basic flu remedies.
thats fine. a few hundred years ago i was killed for saying the earth was not flat.Everyone else just seems to not agree with your opinion that Vettori is a poor test player.
In fact, by region:
Vettori:
HarbhajanCode:Wickets Average in Africa 25 38.60 in Americas 8 26.75 in Asia 82 27.65 in Europe 26 29.88 in Oceania 166 36.42
So, Vettori is SUPERIOR in Asia, Europe and Oceania than Harbhajan. So, what was that about ANY statistical analysis showing Vettori's inadequacies?Code:Wickets Average in Africa 22 31.50 in Americas 25 26.08 in Asia 248 30.07 in Europe 12 34.16 in Oceania 30 38.90
Has Harby not played Bangers?you are still keeping bangladesh in the equation, right? no wonder.
But for those Bangladesh wickets for Vettori, Harby gets to play on home spinning decks all the time. How does Bangladesh explain Harby's deficiency to Vettori in England and Australia. It doesn't, so you choose to ignore it.you are still keeping bangladesh in the equation, right? no wonder.
BAGAPATH IS A 100 YEAR OLD ZOMBIE!!!!!!!!!thats fine. a few hundred years ago i was killed for saying the earth was not flat.
It took a while to work out, but Vettori still has by far the superior stats in England and marginally superior stats in the Antipodes (154 wickets at 37.7). Vettori's stats suffer in Asia as he falls to 48 wickets at 38.I am not a harbhajan fan. it doesnt matter if someone is better or inferior to him and I cant take that alone as a sign of greatness.
but what are the comparative stats of vettori and bhajji minus bangladesh? i am sure you dont want to go there because minus bangladesh vettori's stats will look horrendous.
Could you please stop dodging my question then? How many cricketers that have taken 300 wickets and scored 3000 runs poor test match cricketers?and 99*! dont mess with me. I am not a 100 year old zombie. my age is somewhat less than vettori's real bowling average but above his average including bangladesh. and i can punch real hard!
