**Official** Pakistan in New Zealand (3 tests)

Great display of intriguing Test cricket. Two 'emerging' teams, haven't enjoyed a Test so much in years.
Ditto, we might've produced our worst session of the test in the last two hours but in terms of entertainment and drama it was by far the best.

At first thought on the Asif no ball call I believed Kourtzen had made the right decision, though after several further replays I'm not sure so. Either way Grant Elliott's incredibly lucky and must kick on and at least bat out the majority of the rest of the day with Vettori, otherwise Pakistan will well and truely hold the upper hand.

By the way, why is Nathan McCullum in Dunedin and on the Dilmah Tea Party today, and not playing for Otago in Napier?
(Edit: Just answered that exact question on the show ;))

Last ten overs: 4/2

Are we setting some sort of record here? I don't think I have ever seen anyone score this slowly before...

**** bless Vettori - actually knows how to score runs ... even if he is due a failure with the bat.

Edit: Damn damn damn... that was supposed to be the reverse kiss of death

So much rage in me right now. Need to invest in a heavy punching bag if I'm going to watch the entire series.

Didn't this pretty much happen last time Pakistan played NZ in NZ? NZ batting collapse setting a still potentially challenging 240 or so to Pakistan for the win. But they strolled home with IIIRC Younis Khan scoring an easy century. I wonder if I can find the scorecard.

Picking Yousuf to look totally untroubled in scoring a century tomorrow.

AWTA. It's like they're deliberately trying to turn in the most frustrating and incompetent performance possible to lose this match. And all sparked by that utterly pointless and stupid runout to get rid of Taylor. :@

Thanks for doing the hard yards and finding that.

Certainly has a few similarities to this match with the NZ second innings effort held together by a stodgy left handed opener and then falling apart after he's out (with a lot of players in the top order who could best be described as 'filler' failing). Akhtar was scary, but there were some particularly awful shots - Styris' attempt at smashing a first ball off-drive sticks in the mind.

And I see it was Yousuf who scored most of the second innings runs last time as well, not Younis Khan.

Meanwhile Elliott has surpassed Heath's estimate of 18 from 50 balls, currently 19* from a mere 78 balls. I guess that means he beats Flynn and Fulton's efforts for this match then .

Dont fnnn take'em off now....I have got such good buzz goin here!!!!
I'm sorry for your loss ;)

Doubt there'll be any more play today even though there's meant to be 31 overs left. This rain had better not hang around tomorrow.

And given Chris Martin's still to bat I wouldn't place money on it staying at four...
I always look at that with Martin due to come in, you are always an extra wicket down. Can't believe he scored 10* recently for Canterbury. The Otago bowlers should of been shot after that game.
