Just as well you're not trying to bring Scott Cummings out of retirement then.We just aren't good at rehabilitating people with degenerative ankle problems that prefer to play xbox rahter than participate in rehab.
we could always draft Dean Dick as well*Snigger* swallow cunnington
yes, we move in in a week or so. TBH i'm sceptical anyone has the facilities to get Smith back on the park for good, but he will be great to watch if he does. Just hope its not Hawthorn, though its interesting to see them sniffing around given their recent injury history. His problems are of a similar nature to Croad, and they just released Thorp.Just as well you're not trying to bring Scott Cummings out of retirement then.
You may or may not notice that I resisted the urge to say that North don't have the facilities to get a bloke like Smith on the park for good. From what I hear they've got some new training centre?
After the first 6 I'd say they are, not that I'm a huge expert. Interestingly though, none of the first five or six expected to go are KPPs, so maybe you would say after the first 10 it's quite even. Still, I think if all your picks are in the top 30 it could be a good day, otherwise, hope for some handy experienced rejects.'Twas the night before Draft Day and all through the land, not a 17yo with potential is sleeping soundly apart from young Tom and Jack.
Draft day always feels like Christmas - you get these kids, and they're like presents still wrapped up - the shape looks promising and you're hoping they're all going to turn out to exactly what you wanted. Sure, some turn out to be a daggy sweater from your Nan that you're wear a couple of times when forced to before you grow out of it, but that moment of wondering what it is is the best bit in many ways.
Hoping against hope that Melbourne and the Dons let Ball come through to us, but it seems unlikely given they got something like 7 picks betweeen them before we get our shot. Otherwise, hoping we can pull a rabbit out of a hat - the talk I've heard is that after the first 6-10, the rest are quite even.
**** me dead, you guys got Bastinac and Black with 21 and 25! Fantastic draft for NMFC so far by the looks of it. I think Essendon have done well too, but that's only going on ratings of players before they've even started their AFL careers. The Cunn
I thought they did alright when they took Tapscott at 18, because Max Gawn had been heavily linked to them with that pick, so to get him with 34 would suggest that they took a gamble that paid off. I really like Tapscott.Pretty surprised by Gisberts at 11, I would have thought Talia or Black would be a better option for Melbourne at that pick.
He was dropped during the year, and somewhat unfairly in many people's eyes. He came back in time for finals, but didn't even play half the game despite having 20 disposals and a really good first quarter. What happened with Ball and St Kilda? For a guy who played 142 games and the ex-skipper, and is in his mid 20's, was there a falling out?
Maybe the thought was that you might snag him as a mature rookie.ummm why didn't we go for Maguire?
Good to see the Saints get shafted with Ball.
Know nothing of Kane Lucas.
