*Official* Australia in India - ODIs

****ing hell, most embarassing cricket by India.
Sachin > Indian team

Can't believe you guys bottled it so badly - and what was up with Kumar not diving at the end? Thought you guys got over being frightened of diving on grass years ago?

Awesome win for Australia, great death bowling by all involved. Credit to India they gave this a bloody good chase, Tendulkar's knock was superb.

It's right up there among our biggest chokes of all time, and we have had plenty of them. Truly dire stuff.
Yeah.... its a worse feeling when seeing you're team choke like that...... rather they lose by a big margin tbh.
Great match for neutrals no doubt.

Who said ODIs were dead?

That was friggin' amazing!

Big Sachin 100 + Oz win = heaven

I work in an office full of Indian cricket fanatics so I've been preparing my excuses for the last couple of hours

If he had dived he would have made it. Utterly terrible performance by India in the last 45 minutes. I don't blame Sachin too much because he would have been at the outer edge of exhaustion especially at his age.

I have been going on about it for ages but we simply can't win against top teams consistently with this line-up. We need a decent player at 7 and clearly Jadeja isn't up to it mentally. I guess Harbhajan and Praveen Kumar are borderline OK at 8 and 9 but really we have too many passengers in this bowling lineup. Average bowlers who are useless with the bat and in the field. Nehra, Munaf, RP Singh etc.

It feels awful now, but I'll feel better tomorrow knowing I saw some awesome batting by Sachin.

It hurts, but at the end of the day its better to lose like that (twice) than to get belted by 200-odd. May not feel that way now, but it is.

Jadeja's run out was the worst moment ever along obviously with Sachin.

Gavaskar also correct that Kumar should have dived.

But seriously that throw (Voges?) was epic!
Yeah Jadeja.... that was just atrocious.

If making 345+ in a chase of 350 is a choke then I will take it everytime.
When you are in commanding position and cruising to win and yet you manage to find a way to lose... certainly a choke mate.

Haha what?!
I came home to see replays of Raina's dismissal, so saw the most epic choke of all time.

Frankly, Jadeja does not appear to have any common sense; our five bowler strategy has come to bite us on the arse as we are shown one batsman short. Tendulkar's shot was poor, but he can be forgiven for that, as it was a very well bowled slower ball and the tail capitulated without an inch of fight. Stuff like Nehra's dismissal were just embarassing and that final run out was facepalm material, why the **** didn't you dive.

It was not a commanding position, both teams had equal chances to win at that point.

With Kumar/Munaf/Nehra as your seam attack, not only will you never be a consistent no.1 but you're more likely to drop down

Harsh but fair IMO

Yeah, as long as you're always 5 short that will suit us fine too.

You beauty!

P.S. can't believe what I am hearing about Sachin. Dude was a legend. It was Sachin vs Australia out there.

yup. great game by the aussies. even with a depleted side they are more than a match for the indians.

but i disagree with your credit for india. common dude, in a home ground and with the crowd support they should have done better. not to mention the depleted aussie side as well.
