Yes! Good win.

Pretty damn good game of cricket. One amazing partnership was the difference, and India's spinners bowled very well to restrict Australia.

Dhoni goes from strength to strength.

India wins....... Dhoni simply amazing and Yuvraj was awesome as well.

Dhoni has been not out 22 times while chasing successfully.

Ages since I saw a Aus line-up that was this ordinary. Whats the matter with the players smiling at each other? No sledging from Aus either. Disappointing tstl.

Watson as an allrounder

so.. shane watson's strength as an all rounder not being utilized by the australians. he didn't even get a bowl last night and henriques bowled 8 overs for 51 runs.. thoughts? :-O

Looking at the Oz lineup, there's more than one player that has been picked on potential so I an only assume that it was for the experience

What would be your XI social (from who is fit)?

I too was surprised Watson wasn't bowling, but I figured it may have been due to the pitch.

Looks like Dougy bowled ok - I fell asleep then woke up with India needing about 40-50 odd. How'd he go?

Actually many said ATT that that 7-match ODI series was a waste of time. It should have been no more than 5. Ponting himself was sort of saying that recently.

Well yes Hopes & Paine being injured had nothing to do with this series. Those where unfortunate.

But even though Lee didn't play in the Ashes, clearly the amount of cricket at such a none stop rate clearly got him injured again. The fact that he has so little time to betwen NSWs CL final & the first ODI was really ridiculous.
So basically, one player has been injured from the overload, and he was injured DURING the Ashes anyway, and played the Champions League, which was his choice (and good on Lee for playing).

The fact is, injuries to Haddin, Hopes and Paine have nothing (or very little) to do with the schedule and are more just ****ty luck.

This 'burn out' is being overblown because there were thoughts that Mitch Johnson wouldn't be playing, but he's played all 3 matches anyway.

Was part of the reason why Australia became favourites early in India's innings. Was bowling very tight, and was tough to get away.

Cheers mate - hope he gets a bit of a run in this series, he's done ok on the subcontinent when he's toured with the A team. Step up in class here obviously, but he couldn't be a worse ODI option in India than Hilf atm.

Yeah I'd definitely persist with him whilst Lee is injured. I have also been impressed with Siddle in the last two games. Particularly with the new ball.

I actually don't think Australia bowled too badly. They just had the game taken away from them with Yuvraj and Dhoni staying patient, and also the dew probably resulted in Voges coming on later than he should have. Then when he copped a pasting from Yuvraj, not much that could have been done.

Btw, Yuvraj's innings yesterday against Hauritz... promising signs? Is known for being **** against spin (and he acknowledged how the media bag him for it in his interview)... yet didn't seem too troubled on a very tough wicket. Its no as if he was taking apart Hopes or other medium pacers only, which he is known for (though he did give Henriques a nice tonk).
