Pretty sick of the talk continuing of Liverpool's Title Chances. With our squad, a Top Six finish would be fantastic.

Pool taking a defeat here is really pleasing, as we are now a good few points ahead with a game in hand. Shame that Spurs managed to pick up the win, but as we play them in a few weeks at home we ought to be able to take them down a peg or two. Have to hope that Wigan can hold Citeh to a draw tomorrow to complete a very pleasing week.

It must be said, take out Gerrard & Torres and yer Scousers options look limited.
Their usually efficient and reliable defence has also looked incredibly leaky so far this year, perhaps that's what you get for trying to replace one of the best right backs in the league with Glen Johnson. Can't say I think much of Insua either.

We were **** today, 3 ****ing stupid goals, our passing was woeful, Southampton weren't exactly great either, pretty mediocre.

 Our defence has been bad, but blaming Johnson? He's been a rock.

is ****ing right

PP was bouncing today (although the crowds are still low) and Les came on the pitch to clap all of the fans, WAG. Looked a lot better, I like us with a three-man midfield and two wide men. Brighton are a pretty poor side, but it was a good performance today, more performances like that will see us safely into midtable

Just seen the WBA goals, Mr fertang won't be impressed with the defending, has John Barnes taken over there or something?

He hasn't. But I agree that he is not entirely to blame, though if you are praising him so, I would like to hear why you think the defence has deteriorated massively over the summer.

Carragher being poo and the lack of Alonso IMHO.
Yes, this would be my assessment as well, though Johnson has been particularly poor on a number of occasions as well. I would be interested to see how things pan out once Aquilani is fit and gets a run of games, as it may free up Mascherano to concentrate solely on defensive duties and give Gerrard the opportunity to stay forward rather than having to drop back.

Arbeloa was one of the best RBs in the league? Was solid, but would swap him for Glen almost every time.

Liverpool are just leaking goals and everything before the game transpired for our loss. No Gerrard, no Torres, Mascherano having a huge week and only arriving 24 hours before the game, same for Lucas even, Aurelio's 2nd game back, Agger's 1st...the team just didn't get off on the best foot. Worse, the goal. If we don't beat United next week the title race is over. I'd say it pretty much is this week but if we beat them it could be 4 points with 28 games remaining.

Arbeloa was solid defensively, Johnson isn't, Liverpool were solid defensively, now they aren't, good piece of business there.
