Indeed.

At present, there's a real dearth of young bulls smashing down the door with 1 000+ run Summers.

The thing I loved about the 1990's was the number of young punks smashing the door to the Australian team of its hinges - Slater, Hayden, Martyn, Langer.

Those punks were absolutely ravenous.
Was a golden age for pitches in Aus too, though. The domestic pitches in Aus for the last two or so years have been pretty spicy, particularly for pace and why most domestic teams are preferring blokes who can bat a bit then bowl some overs of meds in lieu of a spinner. Mind you, those same blokes would then tend to dominate in winter in England too so there goes that argument.....

Just a bit of a lull, I reckon. Late 80's/early 90's had a run of low-scoring games with very few batsmen dominating, we're seeing it again now.

Redbacks v Tigers

Win: Redbacks
Runs: Tom Cooper
Wickets: Geeves

Both sides better stack their teams with pace, pissing down here, was murky all weekend and will be pretty messy all week. I don't expect either side to pick a specialist spinner.

Jack, were you here last week mate? I saw a leftie playing at Park 25 against SA on my way home.

Warriors v Bulls

Win: Warriors
Runs: Noffke
Wickets: Noffke

Nope, that probably would have been Clive Rose. His action is a bit different to mine, although we do look rather similar...

Haha, in my defence I was on the Port Rd bridge and I assumed if it was you, that you'd cut your hair.

There is a d dawson who is a keeper batsmen playing for uni NSW,is that the same d dawson that played for tassie last year.
Yeah Dawson back playing in NSW. Pretty sure he got dropped from the contracts from Tasmania, as they decide to take a punt on Jones and U19 keeper batsmen.

Will be interesting to see what they do with Fatty Smith this season with Crosthwaite and Dawson in Sydney. Crosthwaite been in pretty good form for Manly so far with a couple starts. Hopefully we have him for half the season atleast before they see the light. Can't see Dawson getting ahead of either, unless he score a heaps of runs.

Dawson will probably never reach FC or List A level again. He simply doesn't have the scoring range and he bats way too slow. If he improves his array of strokes then he might get a look in as a FC opening batsman some time down the track but probably not with NSW.

I love domestic cricket. I can only follow on Cricket.com.au though. Does anyone know how to watch games on the internet?

EDIT: Nine to bring back domestic cricket.

Also, these two teams are pretty good. SA's middle order needs to step up though without Ferguson. I thought this season would be a big one for him, nearly get himself into Test contention when Hussey retires etc etc.
