Word around the campfire down here is Cayless had his fitness test last night and will play.

Nice boost for the lads if true, like Pat Richards for the Tigers in 05.
Enjoy the day out there today mate.

Welcome to Grand Final day everyone.

Not as special as back when I was in school in the early 1990's, when the Channel Ten telecast used to start at 9am and go through to 6pm, and the in-goals were painted red for the day! But still a decent day nonetheless.

BARNES OUT
Shameful penalty at the end there and it's ****ing **** to have a ref rob us of a grandstand finish.

If Inglis wins the Churchill I'll destroy a city. He touched the ball about 3 times in the game, **** the womanbashing ****.

Has to be Slater imo, Hoffman the only other person close.

(For the Churchill obv.)

Also Hindmarsh was robbed of the Clive Churchill for mine, if a player from a losing team didn't win tonight then it's never going to happen again. Hindy was by far the best player on the field.

Slater?? That was the most BS decision of the night...

Had to be Adam Blair, his defence in the 1st half was sensational, kept Parra out of the game completely...

Melbourne deserved to win but **** me, that penalty was disgraceful.
How much do you see penalties like that though! I swear, every time a player makes a tackle around the ankles, and the tackled player bucks and kicks...it's like the tackler gets punished for going around the ankles, and they have to release immediately. Whereas if you tackle them around the waist etc, you can lie on them for however long you like in a big game.

Na, had to be Slater, was roaming and threatening the entire first half. Caused missed coverage from a lot of Parra defenders leaving the small backs to defend the big men. Was also solid in defence, only one mistake that I saw and truly outclassed Hayne.

Blair had a very good game, but in the end unless there is a performance like Hindy's on the winning side a forward is going to struggle to get anywhere near it.

Really dont like Blair tbh, just comes across as everything I hate in the modern day footballer.

Slater did nothing, it was the same case of 2005 when Prince won. No one on the winning team had a standout game so it just goes to the biggest name in the side.

The only consolation in Brisbane not winning the premiership and me not winning $510 in the process was seeing Hayne cry after the Eels LOST! the grand final...I almost would have paid $510 to see that.

The only reason I don't like Melbourne is because of Bellamy, but can't stand Hayne more, so it was easy to go for Melbourne in the final. I have never, ever cheered for them so hard.

Much better game than last year though, was decent to watch.

Enjoyed the game. Agree with most of the comments already - ****ty decision to call it a penalty by Moi Moi and Slater was lucky to get MoTM - I would have given it to Adam Blair had a very good game as far I could see.

Well done Storm.

Yeah, thought both Blair and Hoffman were great. Fui was immense for us, same with Hindy.
Just very proud of their effort tonight - pushed Melbourne hard all night long. At 22-6 the temptation must have been to rest on just getting there, but we kept coming.

Still want to kill Archer though. And have never seen a more drunk human than the bird on the train after. Unknown randoms phoning her hubby to pick her up from Granville and assisting her off the train into the coppers' care.

Outcome for her would have been much worse had it been the Dogs losing the GF

Thought that Steve Turner did a pretty good job considering the amount of ball directed his way by Parramatta. Pretty funny how Fui Fui carried him for about 10 metres for his try, was reminiscent of Nelson using his own players as battering rams in the Simpsons.
