Nah, it's because they guy plays well for 6 weeks and all of a sudden he's the greatest player in the game. And LOL at him being better than 'practically all the QLDers'.

He played pretty well in the SOO...so he managed to put it together for longer than 6 weeks. Given Inglis was supposedly the best player in the series and he missed pretty much all of one game and Hayne was all over Game 1 and did pretty well in the rest of the series I don't think it's that much of a stretch really. If, by some sort of miracle, NSW had won I'd say he would have been MOS.

Agree that's it's way too early to start saying he's the best player in the game though.

I should also point out that, despite there being 23 years between my grand final appearanes, the quality of the pre-game and half time entertainment has not improved a jot. Dire.

For the record, I thought Wolfmother was a refreshing change from Farnham, Barnes (which incidentally they served up at the AFL GF) and other worn out Aussie acts.

Wolfmother are a worn out Aussie act for mine. Not a big fan.

On ol Johnny, I was never a fan of his by any stretch, but I think he'd be a great candidate to head a new NRL body. He's experienced in running big organizations, he'd have considerable clout due to his ex prime minister status, and you'd think he'd be somebody everybody could get behind. (well maybe not the Greenies ) If it ends up happening I think it would be for the good of the game.

Not a bad squad overall, Hoffman being picked over Creagh on the back of one match pretty much is poor, Farah over Ennis could have gone either way while Shillington in front of Weyman, Poore, Taylor or Learoyd Lahrs is a surprise too.

Farah has been the 2nd best hooker in the NRL for near 4 seasons now... Ennis comes along and has 1 good season and all of a sudden he's jumped up the order...

Farah serving up absolute tripe when he got his chance at rep level didn't help. Ennis played pretty well when he got his chance in SOO3. (though Kimmorley WAS playing that night too )

i agree Farah played pretty average in his 2 games, however he had no go forward, had 2 halves who in all fairness were AVERAGE and in game 3 QLD weren't exactly with it (if you get what i mean)
