Seriously can't sleep of a night atm. Got up to go to the gym at 530 this morning, and there's the young bloke on the lounge with his Parra flag watching TV - "Dad, I couldn't sleep".

Gold.

In other news, looks as though the Tigers are going to sign both Jeff Lima and Jason Cayless for 2010... Massive news as this now gives our pack much needed depth and size.. Im feeling confident about next season already..

With Taumata in the halves with Benji we will have plenty of spark off the back of what should be a big rolling forward pack (Galloway, Lima, Cayless, Gibbs, Payten, Heighington, Ellis)... If we can somehow get the 3rd party payments sealed for Tuqiri then im confident of a top 4 spot next season...

You mean to say that Sheens has finally realized that you need another front rower!! Took his time he did. I doubt Tigers will get Tuqiri btw but you don't really need him.

Is Liam Fulton coming back for 2010??

Taumata will get himself sacked before the season starts.
I dont really see him being in their starting side as it is, I anticipate 1 Lazarus 6 Benji 7 Moltzen. Should never have let Gallant go though.

How about that Mullaney kid at fullback? He's probably more suited as a halfback, but he could easily do a Moltzen and start at the back next year.

I don't think Gallant's lose is that big, he'll get some good chances with the Cowboys with Bowen out for half the season.

I hope Taumata has changed, if he has then we have picked ourselves up a cheap GEM...
I dont think he will start either tbh, although i hope he does.. I think he'll be in the 14 jersey to start off with...
As for letting Gallant go, he wanted to go... He asked for a release as he felt he would get a better opportunity at NQ with Bowen out for such a long period.. Whereas we have Lazarus, Moltzen and Mullaney all coming through..
Im not so sure Lazarus will start in the 1 jersey either, He is coming back off 2 big injuries and i think he'll start the season in NSW Cup which is why i would like Taumata at half, as personally i dont think Lui is ready yet, he also needs to spend some time in the NSW Cup...

Gallant was pretty good at the end of the year, I rate him. I'm pretty sure Blake Lazarus was penciled in to play fullback before he did his knee in pre-season, I reckon he'll probably get another chance if hes fit.
Mullaney does look pretty gun, not to mention it would actually give the Tigers a competent goalkicker.

Mullaney is still eligible for Toyota Cup next season, so i would expect him to start there... If he performs as well as he is now then he will force them to pick him...

A Super prospect...

Wouldn't be surprised to see him end up like Dugan at the Raiders this year. Start in the 20's but just force his way into first grade, although Tim Sheens doesn't have the great track record of giving guys a go.

Lazarus was the original #1 but was injured in the first trial game this year... That was his 1st game back from a season long injury beforehand...

Saw that on the news last night too, very very interesting. It's not surprising though considering the players they have let go that they have money to spend.

Word around the campfire down here is Cayless had his fitness test last night and will play.

Nice boost for the lads if true, like Pat Richards for the Tigers in 05.
