I would have selected him over Harbhajan Singh but as I said a day or two earlier, I didn't see that happening.

I don't see how India can win this barring a miracle. The batting just isn't too strong, even with the 7 batsmen they have to chase 280 plus.

Harbhajan Singh bowling poorly is the problem, Arjun, if Yousuf Pathan will bowl more overs, he is bound to prove costly.

That's the problem. With one top bowler not bowling well, Dhoni only has mediocre part-timers to turn to, so it's a no-win situation. Dhoni's four-bowler plan is useful when the four bowlers are doing very well. Not when they're so weak.

The dirth of a good all rounder has plagued us for a long time and is not some thing new. Post Kapil Dev and Manoj Prabhakar, the best we have had is Robin Singh and he was average at best. I would have tried Nayyar ahead of Pathan in my first XI on South African wickets as I said before the game started. That is some thing I definitely would have done differently apart from playing Mishra ahead of Harbhajan Singh. Harbhajan Singh would never have been dropped for this game though, we all know that. Also, we don't know how Nayyar would have done though of course. It's a lot of ifs and buts.

Nehra for one has bowled very well. Every one had written him off but I have always liked Nehra. Very good to see him do well for India.

He did bowl well there but there he had the comfort of defending a big total on a ground where sides batting 2nd haven't been that successful .... Here is has looked totally off color under pressure, which is not something he has done for the first time
