Pak finsih off at 302. It was a Malik and MoYo show

For India, Nehra was the pick of the bowlers derailing Pak both at the start and then at the end

As India would on gone in to the field, the guys would have expected to be chasing a total around 300 and that's what they got. They have to back themselves up to get 1 more than Pak

For those who want to make some money, it might not be a bad idea to bat on India

I would have selected him over Harbhajan Singh but as I said a day or two earlier, I didn't see that happening.
Hmm. Dropping him for Mishra might seem fair enough but I'm not really sure that you could justify playing RP Singh but not Harby.

India's bowling -

RP went for 21 in his first 2 overs but bowled decently after that. Harbhajan and Virat Kohli's 11 overs went for a total of 92 runs in 13 overs. That hurt India. Ishant's bowling also didn't do that badly. Well played Pakistan in the end, although they would have liked 10-15 runs more in the end.

Why? RP went for 59 off 9 overs including 21 off his first 2, picked the crucial wicket of Younus Khan. Harbhajan did **** all till the last wicket he picked up.

He did bowl well there but there he had the comfort of defending a big total on a ground where sides batting 2nd haven't been that successful .... Here is has looked totally off color under pressure, which is not something he has done for the first time
So he should be dropped just because of his performance today? all i know is he has been impressive lately..

Ojha was not bowling badly for India but Mishra is that much the better option, so they dropped Ojha from the squad. They should be brave enough to try Mishra over Harbhajan.

He needs a good partner to bowl from the other end to take some pressure off. With part-timers bowling from the other hand and him as the lone specialist bowing in the middle overs, he at times finds it tough to handle pressure .... As they say spinners hunt in pairs. Playing Mishra as the 5th bowler would have helped. As a lone specialist spinners, he should not be an automatic selection. the guys should look to explore other options as well

That's in hindsight though. Of course RP Singh will, of course, occasionally do a little better than Harbhajan, but he's not as good a player and I think everyone can agree on that. It's not like conditions were so fast-bowler friendly as to make three seamers a necessity, so surely picking your best four bowlers would have been the way to go? RP vs Mishra is debateable (ish) but it's hard to argue that Harbhajan isn't one of India's best four OD bowlers.

Nah, in South Africa, I would go with 3 seamers and one spinner barring very spin friendly conditions or a team like Australia which can't even play Nikita ****ing Miller. RP is a good bowler outside the subcontinent.

I advice people not to get pissed off if Sachin doesn't start blasting away from the 1st over. He started going for it from the 6th over in the 2003 WC game.:p

Another similarity is that Anwar, like Malik here, had scored a 100 too

Can't stand the commentary when Tendulkar's batting. Because he's a great, people see greatnesss in everything he does. Smacks a short wide one for four and the commentators rave about how majestic and wonderful it was. Takes so much enjoyment out of watching the guy bat.
