Hmmm, have to doubt it tbh. I don't particularly rate Lescott, but the fact that he actually has a bit of pace and doesn't have the turning circle of an oil tanker means that I would select him ahead of Sol, ideally neither of them would be in the current England side for mine.
Yea. Behind JT/Rio only Upson, Woodgate, King & Brown should be considered as defensive options. Once we go beyond them, its gash territory. We should all pray injuries dont affect this area when the WC arrives.

Can Campbell sign for another team, technically had 2 already this year. The rules state cant be transfered again (unless one of the clubs involved is part of the big 4 then the FA allow it)

Can't play for another team until January, according to the FA.

Ledley King should not be considered for England until he can prove that he can play more than one game a week for a sustained period of time.

Never gonna happen. The meniscus cartilage in his knees is buggered so it's bone grinding on bone, effectively. It's only ever going to be about managing the condition as best he & the physios can because cartilage doesn't really repair itself (no blood supply). King's got the same problem Fred's got, actually, but obviously footballers knees get a more sustained pounding due to the nature of the game.

It would be a heck of a risk to take him, but he is clearly better than the alternatives and I think Capello's of this opinion too so I wouldn't right him off.

Ronnie Moore appointed manager of Rotherham again, what a legend, really pleased about this. Shame Mark Robins left though, he was going a good job.

Great news for Rotherham, after years of points deductions they finally seem to be in a position to move up the league again, very good chance of promotion this season.

Word. Plus presuming all are fit come next july, he would be picked as the second back-up defender.
