Oh I see now. 'Tis just like with Neville mouthing off and mocking Liverpool when he scored. Those fans perfectly within their rights to be disgusted by him.

I see that berk from Arsenal who had a two game UEFA ban for diving has had his ban overturned after one angle showed the keeper might have sneezed on him.8-) Just when it looked like UEFA were doing something useful for once.

Arsenal had footage which proved there was contact.

Regardless of whether or not a player makes the most of that contact, if a player's been hit, it's not a dive.

Won't get any argument from me.

My only gripe was the arbitrary nature of the punishment. If Eduardo's theatrics had been spotted by the ref he'd had got at most a yellow card for his trouble, but becuase the official became his unwitting stooge and obligingly awarded a penalty the offence suddenly becomes worthy of (effectively) six times the punishment? Seems disproportionate to me.

That said, I for one would love to see straight red cards & two-game bans for simulation; adequate deterrents are the only way the diving culture that exists is ever going to be changed.

I regularly read an Arsenal blog, the blog it's self is pretty high quality. Some of the people who comment on it just make me genuinely lol. I would copy and paste one particular ratn but it's far far too long. If I remember I'll copy out some extracts.

Oh FFS Rose, he's referring to DCYE's defence of his team being one-eyed and silly just like yours, which it is BTW. Where's that Mourinho pic when you need it preferrably with "Rose" crossed out and....

So the Champions League starts tomorrow. I've set this up in case anybody is interested:

UEFA Champions League Fantasy Football

Code to join is: 120275-23811
Have joined the League Marc:)

With such short notice I'll doubt there'll be many entrants, so I've half a chance of winning. I think I won the Superbru tipping thing on the Champions League because no-one else could be arsed tipping come the end.

A wins a win though:unsure:

Heh UEFA. Looking like right prats as usual. Well done Arsene, said he'd fight it all the way to the CAS if needed and they **** themselves.

Heh Gordon Smith and the SFA. Douchebags.

Thanks for the bye into the second round anyway.

Oh and Scudamore is about to put through Premiership top flight financial crackdown. Which is good but not as tight as Platini's new ones which:

Seek to limit clubs to spend only what they earn from football-related income such as ticket sales and television deals and punishments could include the banning of clubs from European competition.

My only gripe with this is that top Spanish and Italian clubs get a lot more revenue from television as they are not restricted by a collective bargaining like Premiership teams are. Effectively means Manyoo and Arsenal would not be able to spend anywhere near as much as Juve, Barca etc.

Wrong again.
Not really. I've just been trolling this thread for the past two days quite blatantly, bur fans are well within their rights to be offended if some overpaid primadonna came charging over at them screaming at them to **** off.

In any case, it's all just football in the end.

Rumblings out of Eastlands suggest Tevez will be fit for the swamp, wonder if he'll start.

If he doesn't I reckon we'll line up like this:

.......................Bellamy.......................
Petrov..........................................SWP
.......................Ireland (if fit)................
..............Barry................De Jong..........

Bridge.......Lescott........Toure.......Richards

........................Given.........................

We can't win with that XI imo, at best a draw. I'm optimistic though (ask me on Sunday and I'll tell you Citeh by 5, but hey).

****ing loved it when Neville rant to the Liverpool fans after that last-minute winner. Was the greatest thing anyone has ever done.

If I was a Citeh fan I'd be seriously loving Adebayor right now. Except that he's probably got himself out of the big one this Sunday.

Hmm, perhaps over the crowd-thing, bit meh about that myself, but really never happy about acts of thuggery by my team. He's also going to be a marked man for the rest of the year from our ref's, so as well as missing some key matches immediately don't be surprised if he misses many more later on.

Surprised that the non North London Arsenal supporters on here (do we have any?) wanted a Man U win against Spurs. I support Rovers but don’t give two hoots about Burnley because I’m not from Lancashire and don’t live in those two ****holes - I only want Burnley to lose as it means its one less team for Blackburn to worry about. Arsenal Spurs is the same, a local rivalry which doesn’t transcend like a Celtic Rangers.

Can’t be supporting Man U against any side in England or indeed in Europe.

Yeah, true. Can't condone anyone kicking an opposing player in the head.

Can't think of the last time a United player did something like that for comparison's sake. Anything recent I'm forgetting?

Everyone hates T*ttenham tho, tbf. Most non-Arsenal fans probably hate ManUre more, but the majority of my non-Gooner mates hate yer Spurts too.

Something about their delusion (we're still a big club!) and bitterness strikes a universal chord. We'll be having the hilarity of "T*ttenham always win something when the year ends in a '1'" soon too.
