Then he gets some filth and smashes it for four. WAG.

24 off 23. Scored from the last 17 of the 23 deliveries he's faced.

100 up for Sachin. Still over 15 overs to go, he could make it a big one if he stays in.

A possible reason for Tendulkar wanting to split the 50 overs into 2 innings of 25 each could be to conserve his energy and go for the 200. Cheeky bastard imo :p

Tendulkar reaches century number 44 with an easy single. I like the look of the innings so far- huge partnerships built, lots of singles and very little in fours and sixes. Now Dhoni hits a four on the off-side to reach his 50 and complete 100 with Sachin.

Your thoughts on those two stumping chances off Sanath turned down?

Top work by SRT!

Funny to see though, that the run rate got a dip, when Sachin was nearing his ton. Good for India they could push Power Play button right after it.

This could very well become a really really big score! India have several players that can go 100% ballistic when they get in.

Now one straight, Dhoni tries to pull for six and instead forces it straight up, caught by Kandamby. Good innings otherwise, which built a century partnership.

I had done some stats some time ago and found that Tendulkar averages close to 100 in finals! .... The thread, iirc, was the greatest match winner or something along that lines

Haha yeah. It won't win back my winnings from New Zealand's direfest on Saturday but it'll help :p

I'm keeping track of my cricketing bets on a blog these days. It always feels like I'm winning a lot more than I'm losing but I have a feeling that's not really the case.
Cracking idea.

And now Yuvraj comes in, during Power Play. That should be fun.

That always happens. He slows down as he nears a century. Not beneficial for the team but he keeps his over all strike rate pretty decent always.

Now Sachin's asking for a runner. He's weighed down by cramps. He's run as many as 80 runs between the wickets, so he's got tired.

Given the position they were in, India really failed to capitalise on that last powerplay IMO. If you're 1/185, you should be making more than 33 runs off your batting powerplay, even if you do lose a wicket. Hasn't been a boundary in over five overs as well. Should be getting a move on, surely?

Even without a Power Play, you'd expect the run rate to go up, when having 15 overs and 8 wickets left. India should really push on here.
