excellent clijsters!!! wish it was serena(like that's going to happen, the lady is shredding up the draw) but i guess venus is better than nothing...:)
Hmm...

Probably not the way Clijsters would have wanted to win though.

What a brain snap.

I missed the sport report. What happened?
Already had a code violation, and at match point got a very borderline foot fault called against her. Apparently threatened to kill the linesperson and/or shove a ****ing tennis ball down her ****ing throat. Lost the point because of it.

In all honesty, I'm pleasantly surprised with how she took it, though. Others (and I would have thought her) would've kicked up a huge stink after, but she was pretty gracious about it all.

Just watching the highlights there when Serena denied saying she 'would kill the lineswoman' there was a shout from the fans of 'yes you did'.

Given Jono's hatred of Hewitt for similar, or not as bad behaviour, I'd fully expect him to now have similar, or more hatred of Serena...

The US Open should be pushed forward to October to accommodate for the Australian NRL & AFL finals. Obviously plays havoc with Channel 9's coverage, especially when it rains.

Was in Sydney/Manly for the weekend. Managed to watch the end at a bar with no volume this afternoon. Immediately rang my friend to find out wtf justh appened.

For the first time, I'm embarrassed to be a Serena fan.

Del Potro playing flawless tennis atm.

Hitting the ball ridiculously hard and extremely deep in the court. Gonna be tough for Rafa from here.

Always think del Porto looks the part, yeah I know he's choked a bit in the past, but he's still young.

Oh and Heather Watson wins the girls title for Blighty,:) doubt she'll make the front page of the Daily Mail though....

Does Rafa look to have lost a bit of bulk during his lay off, or is it just whatever shirts he was wearing this tourney?

Novak hanging tough vs Fed. On the bus now, but still on serve in the 2nd I take it?

Yeah he's not back to where he was in January yet. Hoping he can at least make the quarters.

Watch for Del Potro this tournament I reckon. He's the form player, and had his rest after his ridiculous amount of tennis.
Class act. For Murray to win he's seeded to meet Del Potro in the quarters, Nadal in the semi's and Federer in the Final. I wouldn't be surprised to see Del Potro and Federer in the Final.
That'd be sweet.

French Open revenge!
You were right Lillian.

Gonna be huge. I think Juan Martin has it in him. Just needs to play with the courage like he did vs. Rafa.

Talk me through it mate.
My descriptive skills aren't good enough to do it justice I'm afraid.

This describes it quite well with a still photo. But basically it was just a fizzing winner from between his legs, whilst running backwards:unsure:
