Brumby, you do realise I had been drinking quite a lot when I made that post about Arsenal?
Had an inkling, tbh: :detective

Please forgive me, I'm pissed.
Sherlock Fugging Holmes, me. :p

Bollocks he would. Was lined up for a move to a big club regardless for his performances with Togo.
Maybe eventually, but the fact we signed him for £4m shows the competition at the time wasn't too keen. His record suggests he wasn't much of a goalscorer before he came to England.

He certainly improved a great deal at Arsenal. But I still remember him having a pretty big profile at Monaco.

You can hardly be a nobody when everyone knows who you are. He was famous for almost single-handedly dragging his country to the World Cup Finals before Arsenal were anywhere near the scene.

Wayne Rooney scored 15 goals in 67 games for Everton but no one's claiming he would have been a nobody without Ferguson.
Wayne Rooney was an English teenager. He was never going to be a nobody, here at least.

But a Sub-Saharan African playing in France and not scoring any goals is just the norm. Scoring goals for Togo and taking them places would only make him a legend in his own lunchtime like David Healy.

And can remember what happened after Togo qualified for the World Cup? He got Togo's coach sacked, repeatedly vowed to no-show in Germany and he might as well have done given what he did in Germany (nothing)

Arsenal made him.

The first angle looks really bad in slow-motion. The shot from behind looks like he's just going with the motion after riding RVP's (****ing horrible and two-foot, btw) challenge. It's funny how the ref was watching it from like 5m away and saw the whole thing though. Because he saw it the FA can't act, right? Of course he'll lie and say he didn't see it, but still.
I might be wrong, but I think the ruling is that if the ref saw it and only gave a yellow, then the FA can't take further action. If he saw it and didn't report it as a foul though, I think they can do something on the basis he made a mistake.

It's a bollocks ruling, I've whinged about it excessively regarding Iain Hume's injury last season.

But anyway, we'll see what happens. And just for the record, after a couple of viewings last night I can't help but think it was deliberate, don't blame him for his celebration though, Ian Moore did the same against Oldham :D

God watching Birmingham is painfull, even at home they park bus and just try and snatch a goal through a set piece. Really hope they get relegated as they offer nothing to the Premiership, don't have a single player who I would pay to watch and have some absolute ****s playing for them (Bowyer, Ferguson & Quadrue to name 3).

Really worried for West Ham this season.

Got a feeling we're going to be in relegation trouble :(
Nah, agree with Brumbers, a lot of crap out there this year. Zola's one big mistake has been Nserko which of course has put him massively on the back foot in transfer dealings, but I don't think the defence is too bad. Ilunga, Tomkins, Upson, Green, there are worse about I think. Behrami is coming back soon isn't he? He's a great player IMHO, and with Collinson, Jimenez and Parker it ain't bad.

Yeah your right about the strikers after Cole, really need Hines, Stanislas or Diamanti to step up. Yet I reckon mid-table mediocrity beckons.

EDit: oh and Adebayor is scum, but not exactly shocking news, there....

Only clip I've seen is the one RB posted (don't do MOTD when we lose), but it looks questionable at best. RVP's in no doubt tho; absolutely scathing.

Adebayor's celeb is understandable on a human level (especially when one factors in his inherent twattishness), but it's pretty bad form coming so soon after the Irons/Lions set to. Plenty of persons at FIFA & Wafer who would be only too pleased to find excuses not to give us 2018, and that's the kind of behaviour that is clear incitement to the crowd. There are no excuses for violence, but can you imagine what would've happened if Sol Campbell had done something similar to the Spurts' fans or Cantona to the Dirties?

Adebayor rather hoisted himself by his own petard with his would-be words of defence too: "people who know me, know how I behave.", quite so, ****, quite so.

Has every Newcastle game been televised so far this season? You'd think there were no other clubs in the Championship.

'Tis a tad annoying. How much money must they be making from Sky. With the parachute payment, relegation may be making them money8-)

Gotta say though, they have one of the best sides I've seen in the Championship in quite some time. Got some good players.

And a well deserved win it was imo, won't begrudge you that. I just wish ****abayor wasn't amongst the scorers, or indeed, as much of a **** as he is.

Football is a surprising game it has to be said this match had ****e written all over it, but I've quite enjoyed the second-half.

Pathetic disgraceful performance. Absolute set of bottlers.

I could take the 6-1 mauling of Arsenal because we just got schooled by a better team. But to be in charge of Fulham and then to roll over like that in the second half is bollocks. Absolute bollocks.

Get a grip lads or you'll be in a relegation scrap sooner than you can say 'Tony Hibbert is an appaling right back'.

You lot have been about as bad as us so far this season. If Liverpool hadn't picked things up then work would be a lot more bearable.
