Warwickshire's James Anyon playing for Surrey and his getting smashed, gone for 40 off just 5 overs.

Herath's done nothing as well. Bowled 50+ overs for the club and taken three wickets for 200+.

Nobody in the Surrey line-up is averaging less than 35 a wicket this year - and Dernbach is the only one under 45. He was going at mid-20s earlier in the season, perhaps he's just not used to playing so much in the championship.

Durham need one more wicket now.

Alex Tudor 13-1-85-0; these days it seems like every match could be his last. :(

Cork 10 - 6 - 7 - 5

We should never of let him go. :(
Been such a great buy for us, given his age it is not suprising that he does not always play and has done very little in some games but in most important matches he has been the matchwinner. Destroyed Worcestershire twice and played the most important role in winning the FP trophy final. Tahir having much form of late as well, was never going to repeat his performances of last year but he has still managed 48 wickets with a couple of games still to play. Feel really sorry for Worcestershire though and things are going to get worse for them with us in talks to sign Kabir.

Things looking much better now in terms of relegation but we have still got two tricky games to go, have to hope Durham take it a bit easy from now on. Need to make sure we stay in this division because with young players coming through and a certain Mendis coming next year we can be a much bigger threat next season.

Yeah, he has actually done ok in the end and still has the opportunity to finish leading wicket taker in County Division One. Now only four wickets behind Charl Willoughby (played four less games) with two games still to play.

Also did well for Hampshire in the 50 over stuff, got wickets and not much tap.

Thought Ajmal Shahzad was very impressive on Sky last night. Bowls at a lively pace and is capable of getting the ball to go both ways. Looks like he can bat as well given Yorkshire have had him at number 7 this year.

Sussex scroing amazingly slowly at the moment, Hodd 14 from 97 balls and Goodwin 2 from 44. Hoping they lose this one, would help us an awful lot.

Any one else watching the pointless game on sky?

EDIT - James Taylor comes into bat. So won't be pointless now.

Have Derby been playing in that strip all season? That's a seriously bright yellow.

Makes a change from all the teams who play in dark blue though.

LOL yeah. I switched off my tv soon after Taylor was run out.

He deffo looks promising, not exactly pretty to watch, and obviously Sky were bigging him up to be the new Bradman, yet he looks effective with no obvious defensive deficiencies. One to watch.

Looks like tonight's game is going to follow the same course as last night's - Derbyshire only need about 20 more than Yorkshire did against Gloucs.

What the hell is Benning doing with his run-up? Starts at wide mid-on.

Compact, hitting the ball off the middle of the bat, technically proficient and a quick runner between wickets. Promising, yeah. Would like to see how he does against spin and more pace though obviously.

Surprised to see this on page 2 tbh. Durham have clinched the Championship with their win over Notts, Kent are assured of promotion after beating Middlesex, and Warwickshire made sure of their Div 1 status for next season by beating Sussex. A bit hard on Neil Dexter, who hit two 100s for Middlesex against his old county but still finished on the losing side.

Neil Carter, someone I regard as one of the top OD cricketers in England has just hit a 66 ball 103* and then retired hurt, interesting. Trott and Bell, either side of Carter at 1 and 3, managed just 1 and 22 respectively. Though, tbf to Trott, he was run out.
