Makes Harbhajan look a bit of a clown. 7 overs, no wickets for 35.The pitch is assisting the spinners a lot to be fair to Yuvraj.
Not that he needs anyone to assist him in looking like a clownMakes Harbhajan look a bit of a clown. 7 overs, no wickets for 35.
I think people underestimate Yuvraj's bowling, but he is more than a part-timer especially in such conditions, the slowish pace at which he bowls makes it pretty hard to put him away, and for a part-timer he is pretty accurate as well, reminds me a bit of Darren Lehmann with the ball.Makes Harbhajan look a bit of a clown. 7 overs, no wickets for 35.
He isn't, he is nowhere near the force in ODIs that he is in Tests.Vettori batting too low as some one just mentioned a few posts back.
I propose that he just has a poor record because he bats at 8.He isn't, he is nowhere near the force in ODIs that he is in Tests.
Butler isn't a slouch with the day these days, since his back injury he's been working on it alot. He's giving Butler far too much strike too. Hopefully he takes some responsibility at the death (if it gets that far).
He had a crack at five for a series and looked ridiculously bad. He doesn't really have the game for it IMO.I propose that he just has a poor record because he bats at 8.
And Bond hit the biggest six I've ever seen at Eden Park.Butler isn't a slouch with the day these days, since his back injury he's been working on it alot.
I would hope he'd be the one taking the attack to the bowlers at the death.
(He also has the record for longest six in NZ )
There's one.And Bond hit the biggest six I've ever seen at Eden Park.
Hopefully these two can middle a few to ease the pain a bit.
Mmm. I don't really buy the use of the word "inconsistent" when it comes to ODI batting lineups. There'll always be a few epic ****-ups in ODI batting. It's the nature of the game.Vettori higher up the order, even if he doesn't play too many strokes, would give solidity to what is a very inconsistent batting line up. He wouldn't do too badly even if he plays his natural game which isn't a lot of hitting.
Nooooooooooooooo, Elliott is quite fine @ 5, there's no need to move those who are actually contributing.I just think he's a decent option at 5. Although if he's tried it before and it didn't work I guess not.
