Broad did a pretty good job recovering after it happened to him, and that was on a bigger stage. Sure he'll be fine, just needs to forget about it, not alot he could have done about it, just awesome hitting on a small ground.

Think it is a bit different with a 19 year old leggie. A discipline which is hard to master at the best of times. Could now decide that bowling flat non-breaks are the way to go.

Yorkshire yesterday declined an offer by Notts whereby Notts would have had 70 overs to score 350 runs. The reason given by Martyn Moxon, the director of cricket, was this: "Four points are very valuable... We couldn't afford the declaration not to be in our favour."

And so Yorkshire and Notts played out one of the more tedious days' cricket that can ever have graced the County Championship.

Well done Yorkshire, you got your 4 points, you can feel very chuffed with yourselves and I'm sure the crowd will have enjoyed their fascinating day at the cricket.

I generally have a lot of respect for Yorkshire, but with that sort of attitude you can't help but feel that they deserve to go down. (I have to admit I've got a vested interest in that happening, of course.)

Hmm Yorkshire should have definitely dangled Notts a carrot. But you'd still expect them to beat one of Sussex/Hampshire and secure safety.


Worcester v Durham could have interesting lineups on both sides in the final round of CC fixtures.

Come on maynn. You know the history of ENG ODI, we all have seen Cook bat in internaitonal cricket, it is clear he doesn't have the game to play such innings in the ODI format. If Ali Brown or Mal Loye couldn't make it in ODIs, Cook sure well can't.

Him scoring like that in domestic OD cricket, shows how poor the standard cricket is in that form of the game, which really isnt news.

Err does that mean no-one with a worse FC record than Ramprakash could have ever make it as a Test cricketer?

Not having seen a lot of live domestic cricket before as i have only just got sky - the commentators are saying this pitch is "glued" in the Sussex/Notts game on atm. What does that mean?
