Why?Good weekend for ENG players. Hope Johnson has a bad game for the Reds 2moro though, he needs to away from the national side.
Brown, not strictly a right-back.Not inl quality right-back. Richards or Brown should have that role.
Let's see him against some decent sides first.I know it was only Stoke, but Johnson had a cracker against them and was MOTM. If he grows as a player, learns defensively with Rafa, he will be one hell of an RB for England.
Yea but he was very good for United @ the start of the 2008/09 & Capello rightfully picked him. He was very good in that game in Croatia, then he got injured again & has yet to start back for United @ RB.Brown, not strictly a right-back.
Mainly because he was playing CB most of the time though. So Capello really couldn't pick him based on what he did in the past. Since Fabio as he said everyone was starting new under his tenure.Richards, went severely off the boil last season after a cracker the season before.
He has yet to look intl quality in any game he has played. Defensively he is very poor.Johnson is the in-form right back, deserves to be England's right back.
So essentially:Yea but he was very good for United @ the start of the 2008/09 & Capello rightfully picked him. He was very good in that game in Croatia, then he got injured again & has yet to start back for United @ RB.
He handled big pressure primiership & CL matches in that psition very well. He is probably the safest option we can have @ RB.
Mainly because he was playing CB most of the time though. So Capello really couldn't pick him based on what he did in the past. Since Fabio as he said everyone was starting new under his tenure.
The season before 2007/08. He was ENG first-choice up until Croatia won @ Wembley & was was going pretty well.
Now that @ city he will be playing RB all the time now. He needs to be recalled ASAP.
He has yet to look intl quality in any game he has played. Defensively he is very poor.
Having now seen it, that was a cracking pass to Defoe.Bit lucky today, from what I saw. Carlton Cole clearly trying to show Fabio that him and Defoe have a great understanding. Lovely assist for the equaliser.
My thoughts exactly, can't stand Phil Brown. His on the pitch half time team talk is one of the most pathetic things I have ever seen, and seemed to make Hull go even more crap than they already were. The way he conducted himself during the whole row with Arsenal/Fabregas row was absolutely terrible as well, hope he and Hull get relegated.Except without the arsehole manager.
Funnily enough that'll be because he actually is a centre back by trade (a bit like Brown in that respect)Mainly because he was playing CB most of the time though.
Nah, he'll complain about not having any transfer funds again soon, buy some ****house players and then sell them at the end of the season and replace them with more ****house.Benitez not been sacked yet then? Sheesh.
Not all that TBF. He is a better crosser than Richards & Johnson. All he lacks is the pace.So essentially:.
Brown - Poor Offensively.
If now we get the group of death?. Plus even if we get an easy group, it wont stop Johnson from being exposed, if we get to QF or SF.Johnson - Good against average teams, of which England face many up until the 2nd Round/Quarters of the World Cup.
Pace being a crucial aspect of offering any sort of offensive threat as a fullback. Not all that TBF. He is a better crosser than Richards & Johnson. All he lacks is the pace.
Hmm...well i first heard of him i always thought he was RB by trade. But i'm willing to take your word on it..Funnily enough that'll be because he actually is a centre back by trade (a bit like Brown in that respect)
He's right, just to confirm.Hmm...well i first heard of him i always thought he was RB by trade. But i'm willing to take your word on it..
Well for United given Ronaldo was in front of him he was really needed to blazing forward to support in attacks that often. Same thing in the WCQ he played with England when Walcott started.Pace being a crucial aspect of offering any sort of offensive threat as a fullback.
