39.3
Swann to Ponting, 1 run, punched away through the off side

39.2
Swann to Ponting, FOUR, another boundary, Ponting picks up the length quickly and drives confidently through cover, Harmison's chase ends with an acrobatic - inasmuch as that word can describe Steve Harmison - tumble that fails to stop the four

39.1
Swann to Ponting, FOUR, too short and Ponting gets quickly into position to cut that through cover point off the back foot
Did any of the comms say "good cricket"?

Has to be said, aside from the odd ball, the pitch is playing relatively truly right now, particularly outside off-stump. Certainly not a minefield. Yet. These guys are both fighting hard, though, so maybe they're making it look better than it is.
Broad and Swann have the been only two blokes who have made this brittle pitch look tough to bat on by bowling fastish off breaks, otherwise there is nothing horrendous about this pitch.

Haha, love how quickly the close in fielder got out of the way of that one. Thought Ponting was out for a bit of revenge.

Seeing these guys bat I think that if we had bowled just a little bit better and restricted them to a lead of 400-450 we would have had a serious chance.

A big ton from Ponting would propel him into absolute legendary status in this country. That said, you just never know when he could get out these days, even after getting over the early yips and playing stacks of good shots he never really seems safe at any point over the past few years.
