I'd have thought Everton would be smart enough to cash him in, he's nowhere near as good as made out. At a top club he'd get shown up, as he has when he's played for England.

I rate him higher than you do, but agree with your sentiment - £20m+ is silly money for a player who isn't world class by any means. I'd be snapping their hands off.

What's the feeling - are they wanting to cash in or keep him?
Here's a sample for you:

"**** U LESCOTT U GREEDY ****. WE DONT WANT PLAYERS WHO DONT GIVE A **** ABOUT OUR CLUB. Well take £20million off Man ****ty. Aint worth that much. We are the peoples club! Were a team! We dont need you!"

Everton fans are ****ing douchebags. Some of the pieces of **** that have cropped up on Bluemoon are ridiculous.

**** 'em, wish you could recall season-long loans. 5 minutes before the deadline, "hey Jo, head on back to Manchester..."

Some of the things their fans said in the crowd when I went to see them play Arsenal were absolutely obscene, no place for it in sport, nor indeed any walk of life. Was the only time I have ever sat in a football crowd and felt genuinely unsafe, turns out my fears weren't misplaced either when there was an eruption of crowd violence about 15 feet from where I was sitting.

Stat for you Scaly, England win % is over 60 with Gerrard in the side and 40 odd % with no Gerrard.
He ducks out of friendlies where England tend to face tougher sides than the qualifiers which make up the bulk of the games and regularly include a number of duff sides.
