Would lol if Arsenal somehow managed to arrange a cash + player swap deal for Lescott and Senderos, would be an amazing piece of business from our point of view.
Haha, not what I meant at all. Should word my posts more carefully.

Think Arsenal might do a little better than people expect this season. Ok they have lost two players but Toure had a poor season last year and was not even a first team regular and Adebeyor was fairly rubbish most of the time. (as he was for an awful lot of his Arsenal career).
More importantly they have kept there most important players in Fabregas, Asharvin and Van Persie, it is also worth remembering that if and it is admitedly a big if Rocisky and Eduardo are fit they are basically gaining two new players. Can this squad win the league? probably not but I do think that it will do better than last years

Yeah I am also fairly hopeful for these very reasons. I think Gallas staying is also very important, if he can stay fit for the entire season then that will be a massive boost as well. One or two new players would still not go amiss mind you.

Yes some new editions would be nice but with only a couple of weeks to go how many of the top 4 have really strenghtened? Chelsea - kept all important players with one real addition, Liverpool - one buy but likley to lose one of their best players in Alonso. Man utd - undoutedly weakened. Obviously there is still some time to go but so the rest of the top haven not moved away from Arsenal this summer, will depend on how the current squads develop

I think a lot will rest on how the younger players from last year have developed. If Djourou, Song, Denilson, Diaby, Vela and Ramsey really step up to the mark, then Arsenal will have a very decent squad, my fear is that this is a very big IF. I would be confident in all of those players if they were to come into a team which was already full of experience, but last season they struggled when there were a load of injuries and all had to go into the team at the same time, will be make or break for a lot of them. Lots being said about Wilshere at the moment, seems like a decent talent but doubt he will feature much apart from in the cup competitions.

Is Nasri injured or something? I remember he was the only Arsenal player I was impressed with when we played them in the CL.

Big loss, can't understand why on earth they would want to be rid of him tbh, but ah well, this is encouraging for all the other top sides at any rae.
