Wasnt sure that people still advocate the 5-man-attcak in this day and age. Is that the reason for his selection or was he an 'opener' that had bowling as a bonus?
Given it's taken 60 overs to give him a go, I don't think they took it into consideration. Apparently he looked equally ineffective against Northants.

HUGE overreaction regarding Watto. Granted he hasn't bowled brilliantly and looks down on pace but he was only brought on after these two were well set with the ball 60+ overs old with two free flowing batsmen looking to hit out. Would have done better if he was given a go earlier. Settle down.
Set? Both batsman were still in their teens.

Yes should have been given a go earlier, but having said that he bowled some rubbish, dissapointed for him.

Tactically Ponting really is a dire captain, it just seems to be one mistake after another. I reckon Hilfenhaus is the man against these two, well actually Clark is but he's shagged Ponting's sister so he ain't getting a game till he agrees to a castration.

Ponting's words were, " a bit of both," IIRC.

I'm wondering what possible situations there are where you could actually enjoy England being apparently on top without thinking "what if we lose three wickets in the next over?"
Oh i'm enjoying this don't get me wrong, but i've learned from the experience of supporting Everton, Lancs and this lot that it's best not to get too excited. Sorry, i'm just an eternal pessimist.

Prior that is ridiculous mate. And that Neil, is why I never take things for granted when England are playing.

Hilfenhaus to bowl even more after his marathon morning spell? Do you think he's Superman?

LMAO Prior. Had a real chance to completely take it from Australia, and ****ed it in the finest 1990s England style. Bizarro.
