Oh ffs Zummerzet
Can't see us beating Lanky, mind you if it's rained off (which is probable considering where it's being played), we may win the bowl-off...
Bright now with sunny spells...and the drainage seems to be working alright given we've had almost an inch of rain today aloneDon't get many right, so thought I'd do the terrible faux pas of quoting myself from last month.
Seriously though, is the weather still that bad in Manchester? Seems to have bucked up most places. Wondering if there'd be any point in transferring any Lancs/Yorks players into my Fantasy side
Thanks, hmm undecided, need to get Allenby out of my side. This contract thing with Leicestershire rumbling on. Hope he comes to Somerset, but I doubt it, if he's moving in hope of international honours.Bright now with sunny spells...and the drainage seems to be working alright given we've had almost an inch of rain today alone
VVS(), Cheetham, Parry and the captain.Who were our bowlers?
I saw that but why was he bowling off-breaks? Charl had the right idea, a full-toss.They've just shown footage of the bowl-out. Laxman actually came the closest for Lancs (other than Cheetham, obv).
Chapple is injured at the moment.I would have had Chapple, Hogg, Smith, Cheetham and Croft bowling only bowling yorkers.
I guess no-one (as yet, maybe if bowl-outs become more common in big-money IPL etc) practices purely for the sake of hitting the stumps. By that I mean that although you may do target practice with one stump, you won't compromise match pace/swing etc to do so. You could see that the other bowlers seemed to be bowling at a much slower pace than usual and so they themselves are more confident bowling with a rarely-practiced action than a full action to hit the stumps.I saw that but why was he bowling off-breaks? Charl had the right idea, a full-toss.
