Don't get many right, so thought I'd do the terrible faux pas of quoting myself from last month.

Oh ffs Zummerzet:@

Can't see us beating Lanky, mind you if it's rained off (which is probable considering where it's being played), we may win the bowl-off...

Seriously though, is the weather still that bad in Manchester? Seems to have bucked up most places. Wondering if there'd be any point in transferring any Lancs/Yorks players into my Fantasy side

Bright now with sunny spells...and the drainage seems to be working alright given we've had almost an inch of rain today alone

Thanks, hmm undecided, need to get Allenby out of my side. This contract thing with Leicestershire rumbling on. Hope he comes to Somerset, but I doubt it, if he's moving in hope of international honours.

Would of thought a lot of counties would be in for him.

I would have had Chapple, Hogg, Smith, Cheetham and Croft bowling only bowling yorkers.

Just been listening to the last half hour's play. :)

Hampshire wanted 14 off 9 balls with three wickets remaining, not a 'big ask' by Twenty20 standards, and didn't score another run.

Northants the surprise team at Finals day, you'd have to say.

I saw that but why was he bowling off-breaks? Charl had the right idea, a full-toss.
I guess no-one (as yet, maybe if bowl-outs become more common in big-money IPL etc) practices purely for the sake of hitting the stumps. By that I mean that although you may do target practice with one stump, you won't compromise match pace/swing etc to do so. You could see that the other bowlers seemed to be bowling at a much slower pace than usual and so they themselves are more confident bowling with a rarely-practiced action than a full action to hit the stumps.

Sorry, that doesn't really answer the question though...I can only offer that because Laxman only ever practices offies, he has no alternative that he is confident in bowling.

Great to see Tom Smith getting a few FC wickets and Yorkshire in trouble. Weather forecast not looking too bad for the weekend, might go both days.
