Looks like Chris Masters is set to come back to the main roster once the 'E can find a role for him. Quite looking forward to it, for a long time I wasn't a big fan of his but towards the end of his career he started to win me over, didn't mind having a laugh at his own expense and got some right **** off some of the wrestlers (no need to mention names) and took it well. From shoot interviews he seems to be a really down to earth and easy going dude as well so I hope he manages to do well.
I agree with this, have you seen a recent pic of him though? Looks about 1/3 of the size he did whilst working for the E last time round, must have kicked the steroids.

Apparently Eugene is meant to make a comeback sometime soon, not quite so pleased about that one.

Haha that was pretty awesome actually, pretty unique sort of spot, have never seen anyone use the cage like that before/since.

Re: This weeks RAW - thought it was a car crash of a show, getting really sick of RAW at the moment. So many non-wrestling segments. So many pointless matches that last 3 mins (Kendrick/Lawler - Chavo/Hornswoggle). Hate this celebrity involvement crap. esspecially when all the guest host stuff is all backstage segments that was obviously filmed before the show, and next week we get Shaq O'Neil, joy. And then to top it off we get a predictable ME in which Cena and HHH dominate...again, yawn. Thank god Jericho (thought he was apparently a Smackdown exlusive these days...) was on the show again to drag it up a bit (though **** knows why he keeps bothering to show up on RAW for no logical reason each and every week).

TBH it is actually very logical as he is one half of the unified tag champs which means he can appear on, and be challenged by anyone from, any brand.

raw was dire though. TBH didn't think much of any of the shows this week, though I wasn't watching Smackdown properly it lacked the spark of the last few months

WWE are planning to release a Chris Jericho DVD. Awesome! It will be a must buy.
awesome, any idea on the matches? Shame some of his best, ie V Benoit, won't be on there

Would accept it if he was requested to be there pre-show for storyline purposes or something, like he was booked in a match before the show began etc... But it just seems that in every show he now shows up for no reason other than to take a pop at the guest host and say "i'm out of here", only for them to go "oh no you don't tonight you're now in a match!", and he is then dismayed, jeez, never saw that coming, would have thought he would have taken the hint and stopped showing up spontaniously on a show he said he would never be on again a few months back.

Haha true, although he had to be there this week to build up the 'who will be his partner' angle, and also for the clash with legacy who would have no legitimate reason to be on Smackdown.

The way I see it is the more Jericho the better tbh

Oh yeah I totally agree, still the best thing about the WWE at the moment, and has been for sometime now, god knows where they would be if he hadnt made a return when he did.

As far as Chris Jericho's DVD is concerned, the match listing isn't out yet. He's had such a great career that you could put heaps of stuff on there.

Assuming that it's going to be a 3 Disc Set this is what I think should go in the DVD:

Disc 1: Two to three hour long documentary profiling Chris Jericho's career up until this point with interviews with friends and colleagues like Rey Mysterio, Dean Malenko, Edge, Christian, Lance Storm, Triple H and Shawn Michaels.

Chris Jericho's matches in ECW and WCW including his matches with Rey Mysterio, Perry Saturn, Dean Malenko and of course the epic feud with Bill Goldberg.

Extras: Some classic WCW promos when Chris Jericho was on top of his game.

Disc 2: Chris Jericho in the WWF including his matches with Triple H, Kurt Angle, Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock and of course the match where he won the Undisputed Championship. This disc could also feature his career up until he left the WWE in 2005.

Extras: Chris Jericho's debut promo, all the awesome WWF promos with Stephanie McMahon, Christian and The Rock. Maybe an Extra about being the record holder of the highest number of Intercontinental Championship reigns in history.

Disc 3: The return of Chris Jericho to the WWE and all his matches with the likes of Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels, his World Heavyweight Championship victories and his feud with the Legends culminating at Wrestlemania 25.

Extras: Chris Jericho's return promo and his other promos since he has returned. Maybe have a couple of other additional extras in there as well.

Regarding Chris Jericho's partner, I think I'm narrowing it down to these individuals:

1. Dolph Ziggler - He's a great talent and even if he doesn't win the Intercontinental Championship, having him being a Unified Tag Team Champion will really raise his profile. His personality is very compatible with Chris Jericho and you would think that they would make a pretty good tag team. He's my favourite to be Jericho's partner.

2. CM Punk - This would fit in perfectly with Chris Jericho's character of an 'honest and good man' being singled out and turned on by the fans. Imagine the promos these two could cut and just rip apart the WWE fans sitting in the audience. It would fit perfectly with Chris Jericho's character and it would add a new dimension to CM Punk's character too. Plus they would have some awesome matches as a tag team and CM Punk would raise his profile even higher by having three championship belts.

3. Christian - A rank outsider but not a far fetched choice. Chris Jericho and Christian have a history as a tag team and this could lead to a Edge vs Christian match sometime in the future. They would be an awesome tag team again and would completely rule in terms of promos and matches. It's a bit far fetched as Christian is a face, but as of late Christian has been showing more subtle heel characteristics so I wouldn't completely count it out.

4. Chris Masters - Another rank outsider, but it could happen as Chris Jericho brings in a hired gun to be his partner and helps reintroduce Chris Masters to the WWE audience. Again, this is unlikely but to be Chris Jericho's tag team partner would be a great launching pad for Chris Masters.

I'm 100% sure that Jericho's partner will be The Undertaker as he said last week to Edge he was going to get someone bigger and better and he was shown talking to Kane this past week.

Sounds awesome, hope they are listening to you :p

Hope the match where he won the title off Triple H on Raw in 2000 is on there, even though it "never happened". :D

I'm 100% sure that Jericho's partner will be The Undertaker as he said last week to Edge he was going to get someone bigger and better and he was shown talking to Kane this past week.
Weren't you sure it was going to be The Brian Kendrick last week?

Wouldn't mind Taker being Jericho's partner but would rather they fought each other at Summerslam

Would mark out if it was Taker, a Taker heel turn would be amazing, would help elevate the young Smackdown faces no end, Taker v Jeff at Summerslam? Yes please.

Night of Champions is on tomorrow so I'll give some brief predictions on what I think will happen tomorrow:

WWE Championship Match: Randy Orton vs Triple H vs John Cena

I'm picking Cena here as I think Orton's run is over and that it's too soon to give Triple H the championship again.

World Heavyweight Championship Match: CM Punk vs Jeff Hardy

CM Punk should be the winner of this match to cement his heel status. Jeff Hardy still has contract issus I believe so I doubt he'll be winning this one.

ECW Championship Match: Tommy Dreamer vs Christian

Christian to win this match and become a two time ECW Champion. Tommy Dreamer has had a good run but he seems to be moving towards a feud with Abraham Washington.

Intercontinental Championship Match: Rey Mysterio vs Dolph Ziggler

A tough one to predict, but I think Rey will win here as he has just beaten Chris Jericho. I'm also picking Rey to win because I think Dolph Ziggler will be Chris Jericho's partner.

Undisputed Tag Team Championship Match: Chris Jericho and Mystery Partner vs The Legacy

I think Dolph Ziggler will be Chris Jericho's tag team partner and I think that Chris Jericho and the Mystery Partner will win the match.

United States Championship Match: Kofi Kingston vs MVP vs Jack Swagger vs The Miz vs Carlito vs The Big Show

Who knows who'll win this one. I'm thinking either Kofi Kingston retains or Jack Swagger wins. I'm going for Jack Swagger because I think he's got great potential to be a big star on Raw.

Women's Championship Match: Michelle McCool vs Milena

Michelle McCool just won the belt so I don't see any reason to change it so quickly again.

Divas Championship Match: Maryse vs Mickie James

I'm going with Mickie James in this one because Maryse has held it for a while and it may be time for a new champion.

Enjoy the show guys, hope it's a good one.

- Chris Jericho posted the following on his Twitter page on Saturday.

"I'm not gonna say who my partner is going to be tomorrow....but he is EVIL...."
So there is quite obviosuly two choices now either "Big Evil" Undertaker or the more likely one, TAKA Michinoku!!!!!

Haha, imagine if it was Taka

My tips ahead of this one, a la masterblaster:

WWE title match
I also think Cena will win. Triple H and Orton are obviously going to have a blowoff match at Summerslam (presumably in a cell, though the October PPV throws a spanner in the works for that one) and people are pretty sick of them ruling the title scene. Cena winning the belt puts him in the Summerslam main event, where maybe he could renew his feud with The Miz???

World Heavyweight title match
This should be another solid match, their work has been great of late and now Punk is over as a heel it puts a new angle on the match. I can't see Jeff taking the strap, I don't think it would make much sense for him to do so. Punk to win and face Morrison at Summerslam, hopefully.

IC title match
great to see Ziggler powering through the ranks lately, on a show where the talent at the top is both over and good it is impressive to see someone manage to break through to such an extenet as Ziggler has done (and Morrison as well). I don't think he'll win here, but it may well be the match of the night.

US title match
No idea who will win here, and tbh it's a match which has been stuck together with very little thought, why isn't Evan Bourne in it? No idea who will win. Swagger seems a good bet, but I'm just copying off masterblaster with this one.

Tag titles
The more interesting thing here is not who will win but who will be Jericho's partner? Dolph? Christian? Undertaker? Hulk Hogan? Sgt. Slaughter? Who knows, I just hope it's not a huge disappointment. Jericho & whoever will win anyway...Legacy are on the verge of breaking up with Dibiase set to turn face, and Jericho holding these belts makes a lot of sense.

ECW title
I think it's time Christian got the belt back, that being said if this match goes on before the tag match and Christian loses then....party time...

Don't care enough about the women's matches to predict them, I love the concept of this card but the fact that it results in two women's matches isn't a good thing. Love Maryse though, just in case I've not mentioned that. Are her and Miz an item now, did I miss something there?

All in all, the fact that I won't be watching this (unless I get a cheeky download) because it's £15 I don't have, and the fact that the card isn't all that inspirational mean I'm not all that excited about it. I hope it provides us with some decent build for Summerslam, not expecting much more than that.

Also worth mentioning that my mind being on the Ashes plays a part in me not being as up for it tbh.

Big Show and Evil do not go together imo Mr.Jericho

and also with Hardy's win does that mean he has signed a new contract or are they giving him the title as insentive to sign a new contract, either way it just seems weird to me. Maybe Punk giving the screwjob to Hardy in the future?

Spanish_Vicente
Am guessing that a Big Show face turn is in the works and a Jericho/Show match to happen at Summerslam, not sure I like this idea, but at least it's something new, and not been done before.

Interesting that Hardy picked up the win as well, unless his contract issues are well and truly sorted I imagine this will be an interim reign with CM Punk picking up the gold down the line at Summerslam, probably in a gimmick match of some sort.

Thought the fact that the WWE title match happened in the middle of the card, before the IC title match and Divas match was strange as well, not sure what the logic behind that was. Punk/Hardy rightfully the main event though.
