Doubt it, he wants to mould the team and leave that as his legacy so he'll go on as long as he's scoring runs. The only thing that'll force him to quit is either his body giving out or the Australian media, but he'd have to wait for the home season for the latter to really bite.

Yep spot on,Struggle to recall the last time a regular player retired/was retired ouside of the November-March period, maybe Mark Waugh.

No way in the world Ponting will step down. If they get pumped and he ****s up like at Edgbaston 05 then he may be pushed but even then it's unlikely.
