Maybe my comments were a bit dramatic, but the day one shrugs off or accepts a debacle like that (even a one-off) is a sad one. I just think it was a really poor effort, as distinct from performance.Geez its not the end of the world, every team loses like that sometimes just one of those things.
Overall though we just aren't that good, particuarly without Lockyer.
Yeha my brother texted it to me about halfway through the first half and I promptly spat out my beer through my nose. **** Brian Smith, stay in Newcastle you douche.Fox Sports reporting that the Roosters will get rid of Freddie Fittler at the end of the year and replace him with Brian Smith
Smith would be perfect for Roosters, wont win them a premiership but he'll get them back to the top 4 or 6 within a couple of years. He can clear out the dead wood and make the hard decisions.Yeha my brother texted it to me about halfway through the first half and I promptly spat out my beer through my nose. **** Brian Smith, stay in Newcastle you douche.
So pissed off as a Roosters fan.
And **** me Brisbane fans, acting like spoiled brats. Might miss the finals for the first time since the mid-1700's, acting like the ****ing world is ending. Grow a pair.
Really? I reckon he's gone ok rebuilding Newcastle. Built a team without superstars into one of the better units this year. Has a good junior base there, so a different proposition to the Roosters, but knows how to rebuild a team which is something the Roosters will need over the next couple of years. Reckon he'll do well regarding the off-field problems the Roosters are having too.Yeha my brother texted it to me about halfway through the first half and I promptly spat out my beer through my nose. **** Brian Smith, stay in Newcastle you douche.
Fixed.Russell Smith taking down the Raiders here Great stuff.
Reckon it cost them 6 points tbh.Fixed.

I missed the first 15-20 minutes so I didn't see the Puletua try, but I'm still convinced Dugan knocked that ball on in the lead-up to the Vidot try.Reckon it cost them 6 points tbh.
If the Vidot try was no try, then the Puletua try was a no-try. Both were benefit of the doubt though imo.
Stephen Kearney's name always gets thrown up as a replacement everytime an NRL gig comes up. I think a young squad like the Knights need an experienced coach though.Ok, if true I guess it's not as bad as it could be, Newcastle has signed most of there current squad beyond 2010 so we won't likely see many players follow him there.
But the problem is finding a replacement, there just aren't that many quality coaches running around. The only way I'd find this a plus is if Gould came to coach us which is as likely as me becoming Australian.
The issue was also that there was doubt over the Tia Kilifi try. It was one of those obstruction decisions where the defense read the play poorly, and one of the cover defenders took the decoy out. Don't know what commentators want (although I think all Daley wanted was a no try ), they're up in arms when poor reads are rewarded with no try decisions, and then they have a sook when a ref (imo) gets it right.I missed the first 15-20 minutes so I didn't see the Puletua try, but I'm still convinced Dugan knocked that ball on in the lead-up to the Vidot try.
Was definitely a try IMO. Was actually the first thing I saw when I put the game on.The issue was also that there was doubt over the Tia Kilifi try. And another. Since when are the Sharks an exciting team?Terrific try there for the Sharkies.
Sharks have turned a corner, some of their backs are exciting to watch. Stapleton is gun, he, Dugan and Locke look to be the best young fullbacks running around. And another. Since when are the Sharks an exciting team?
