*Official* Pakistan in Sri Lanka

Six and out from Sanga -- was hoping he'd get a half-century to go with Warnapura's.

11 runs FTW now. I wish I was even able to watch some highlights. It's just not fair -- SL and Pak have over the last decade been two of the most exciting teams in world cricket, but they just don't seem to get a look-in on British television. I'd say that the pecking order, for matches not involving England, goes something like:

Australia
India
Saffers
WIndies
Pak
NZ
SL

TBH Sky have coverage for everything in England, Australia, West Indies, South Africa, New Zealand and India, plus some India fixtures abroad, and their domestic coverage is fairly extensive. Can't complain really.

I think the most heart breaking aspect of this series has been the fact that our newcomers have performed very well but we lost anyway due to the incompetencies of our veterans. Wanted this win for Fawad more than any thing.

And equally capable of crashing out for 250 total tomorrow. That's Pakistan for you.
Boy I was WAY off base. They made it all the way to 320! Serves me right for doubting the powerful Pakistani batting lineup.

Congrats to Sri Lanka on winning the series. They deserve it and I’m very happy for them. They’re my favorite International team after Pakistan (I’m cursed by birth to be a Pakistani fan, can’t change that).

Yeah have to say even if parts of this series has made me want to completely give up on our team, it has been thoroughly enjoyable.

Obviously Mendis will be effective against NZ and countires he hasnt played still but only for 1 series so his carrier may end up like Hirwani. He is ineffective because he hardly turns the bowl, good players will learn with time
The very reason he should be an effective off spinner. He has to learn off spinning and all the set of tricks with it. Then he won't be that normal finger spinner although he bowls mainly fingerspin.

The ECB, in my opinion, would be wise to come to some sort of formal agreement with the PCB.

If England is to be Pakistan's "home" for playing international cricket for the forseeable future, then in my opinion it would be beneficial for both boards to try to come to an agreement with regards to allowing centrally contracted Pakistan players to play in the County Championship without restrictions.

The big danger for Pakistan is that they become uncompetitive due to English conditions being alien to them. A good, competitive Pakistan in Tests and ODIs will not only help keep the cricket flame burning in Pakistan, but also has the potential to be extremely lucrative to the ECB. There's a large Pakistani expat community, particularly in Leeds and Manchester, and the prospect of seeing a strong, competitive Pakistan take on the likes of India, Australia and South Africa in England would be a mouth watering prospect, both for the Pakistani descended community in England, but also for the "indigenous" English cricket lover as well. Grounds would be sold out, which benefits the counties staging Pakistan's "home" internationals financially, and Pakistan would be stronger for it.

Incidentally, I'm hoping that Cricket Scotland gets in on the act as well, there's a huge Pakistani community in Glasgow, and I'd love to see Titwood becoming one of Pakistan's "home" venues for ODIs played in Britain.

Hopefully next match,

Murali in for Mendis
Kaushal Silva in for Dilshan
Dhammika Prasad in for Thushara
Chamara Kapugedara in for Warnapura/Paranavitana

Kaushal Silva deserves a go!

Does not make Sense. Prasanna Jayawaradan for Dilshan (he needs a rest). Paranavithana has done nothing to be dropped to be regarded as an inferior batsman to over-hyphed Kapugedara.

Not dropped, just making way to give Kapugedara a chance since the series has already been decided.

IMO Kaushal Silva is a much better wicketkeeping option than Prasanna Jayawardene due to his vastly superior batting.

Thushara bowled the best spell of any bowler in the series during the first test pakistan collapse. And you want him dropped?? plus he's picked up about 6 wickets I think.

Kaushal Silva? When you have Prassan Jayawardene fit?

Kapugedara for Warnapura/Paranvithana when both have finally started making runs?

You obviously have no idea.
