Norwood's on Fire
I hope the ground staff go on strike and refuse to clean up any excess water, also how about some local Welsh thugs get drunk and destroy the covers? If we all pull together then we can head to Lord's 0-0

How popular is cricket in Wales? And would they really support England in the Ashes?
Well the team is actually the England and Wales Cricket Board XI, so I'd guess most of them would support the team. Not sure how popular it is in Wales, but I'd guess that Rugby and Football are both more popular than Cricket.

The Welsh have always detested the English ever since we turned over some upstart called Owain Glyndwr back in the Middle Ages - it didn't endear us to them when we then banished a whole lot of their worst folk who had to go elsewhere and set up some community they, unimaginatively proceeded to call New South Wales ............... not quite sure where it was now but anyway .................

Bloody hell.

If Hughes & Hussey are the only ones that can't get a 50 or a century, then England are playing bloody useless.

And in reply they are 20/2. The rest of the batting lineup need to bat for a long time for it not to turn to an innings win.

It was more of a case of the batsmen playing very disciplined cricket. On a pitch such as the one dealt out for this game the quick bowlers don't have much help, and the spinners can find it tough too as it was slow enough for the batsmen to play back and not risk their wicket.

I would say that it was more of a case of Australian batmen simply being too good on the day for the English bowling attack.

lol @ England's patheticness, Bopara got a rough one, Cook was hopeless. Not expecting KP to do much, Strauss and Collingwood the men here. That rain in the last session may have saved England, but can't see England batting through the day without at least one collapse, my money would be on the Aussies.

The Australian batting has done its job, and now its upto the bowlers, they did a fair job picking 2 wickets yesterday itself, so if somehow we can get a full day's cricket today, then things could really get interesting.

Expecting a brutal match-winning spell from Siddle, he was getting most movement out of this deck in the first innings, and if he somehow gets his radar fixed, he could run through the English batting line-up.

Eng a/o early in the final session - Australia to win by 10 wickets.

Reckon Katich/North may be the trump cards, if they get a chance to bowl
