Even if England save this from here, they're in a bad place going to Lords.

edit: I don't think it was a terrible decision, thought it was pretty close live. Should have been given not out though.

I've got say England getting what they deserved after their performance in the field today. No enthusiasm or energy constantly slowing the game down waiting for rain. And as happens many a time have taken that attitude into bat.

Talking of 4 100s in an innings, I think it was 1993 when Australia's top three all got hundreds (at Lord's???), and then Mark Waugh got out on 99, and there was a bloke somewhere who had put like £1 on the top four to get centuries, at like thousands to one. Can't remember the exact story, but it was something like that.

EDIT: MA Taylor 111, MJ Slater 152, DC Boon 164*, ME Waugh 99

Very likely the rain is going to stay for most if not all the day. Wouldn't totally rule out maybe late day play but I think chances are probably low given the rain has taken its time reaching Cardiff in the first place.

Anyway, I've given up with commenting upon umpires' decisions after the KP's first innings but if there has ever been a better advertisement for technology than this test then I give up
