Exceptional my arse. He was a joke pick by England. An absolute plodder that would never make it at international level.

Dutchwatch:

Alexei Kervezee making his first sizeable contribution to the Worcs cause, currently 62* in a very low-scoring match. Just one more run needed to make it the highest individual score for the match.

Yeah, pretty easy for Kent as well despite Lewis missing his career best score by a whisker.

Surrey given a scare by an enterprising declaration by Udal, leaving them 240 in 44 overs. 55-5 before Ramprakash and Jordan restored order.

Looks like Worcester are going down this year we need to replace Hick as he is a big miss and we seem a bowler short

Three wickets in quick succession should slow the rate a little, Lancs will be chasing well over 300 though.

He was only signed as cover for Yassir Arafat who has now returned.

Sorry we won't be able to reprise the 2006 final, Fred.

Just got back from London, seems its was probably a good thing i missed the game today. Can't say i wasn't expecting it, we've gone completely off the boil at the moment. Parry should have been playing anyway.

You were quite unlucky TBF, du Plessis and Laxman both went down to gun catches by Jimmy Adams, they probably would have won it for Lancashire if they had stayed in for a few more overs.

I can't remember why Michael Lumb left Yorkshire, but I am gutted that he did. He has been such a gun for Hampshire this season, can't stop making runs.

Only in one day cricket, in the longer form of the game he is still a constant dissapointment. A good performance and another Lords final which is always great. While we are not good enough to mount a serious challenge in the county championship it would be great to get another trophy, we also have an excellent chance of reaching Twenty20 finals day for the first time. All in all shaping up to be an excellent season.

Interesting that Leicester seem to have a few U19 players, shame that they don't get more opportunities in place of their horde of Kolpaks.

Anyway some innings from Cobb against Bangladesh U19s - 220 off 290 balls.

Yeah he has a pretty poor FC average, which is a surprise as he actually looked like a pretty good batsman with a solid technique. I guess his type of attacking play lends to slumps of forms, but not one that lasts years, as seems the case.

That said, everytime I have seen Hampshire play on SS in the FP trophy or the 20-20 cup, he just seems to gun it every time. Never gives his wicket away either.

Good to see three Hampshire players in the side and Hamza as captain but anoying that we will be without Vince for a while as soon as he has broken into the side.
