In that case Caddick should really be playing.Talking about possession?
Sidebottom was the man in possession before his injury, remember the 1st Test in New Zealand?
Terribly injury prone bowler too.Secured his First Test place in the previous match against Sussex, Nielsen said as much.
Haa...Siddle's early career is almost a carbon copy to how Gillespie started with all the injuries.Terribly injury prone bowler too.
One of those bowlers you should look to rest as often as possible.
True. Regardless, would be more than pleased if Siddle had an overall career that matched Jason Gillespie's.Haa...Siddle's early career is almost a carbon copy to how Gillespie started with all the injuries.
Haha, North makes 191* and practically no-one utters a word. You are amazing sometimes CricketWeb.
Much better from North.
North's first two and a half hours at the crease were really quite painful, but he somehow managed to stick in there and began to find some form which hopefully he'll take with him to the first Test.
Reminds me of the negligent surgeon conducting a circumcision: he slipped and got the sack.Hmmmm... well circumcision and a full *** change are just different points on the same continuum for the surgeon.
Good point and then at least everyone has had a game since the 3rd and 4th tests are back to back as well.....1 Hughes 2 Katich 3 Clarke 4 Watson 5 North 6 Manou 7 McDonald 8 Johnson 9 Lee 10 Siddle 11 Clark
Agree re: Hilf and Hauritz.
I'm pretty much assuming Hussey is going to make a stack of runs right now and thinking that selectors know he can make runs against touring teams.
Would be the team I'd play.So Northamptonshire v Aussies Tour game should be interesting.
My team would be:
Hughes
Katich
Clarke
Hussey
Watson
North
Haddin
Johnson
Lee
Clark
Siddle
No need to play Hilfenhaus and Hauritz who are the leading wkt takers for the series so far (plus Hauritz's finger could probably do with a rest). I think Ponting is the only batsmen that can be rested so Watson can play and I'd like to see how Clarke goes at # 3
