Well, Johnson's really showing it, isn't he?Clark, Johnson and Siddle went past him some time ago.

Because Clark, Johnson and Siddle are better bowlers and have been for a while now? Before the match? Why, because the press said so?
I lol'dWell, Johnson's really showing it, isn't he?
Yeah, decent point about Johnson. But, realisitically, Johnson is out there to have a gallop and get some overs in before the first Test, and Lee is fighting for his career. Hence the appearances.Nah, can't agree. Tucked Denly up with a couple of yorkers that swung late the young bloke did well to keep out. If one was watching the bowlers today with no prior knowledge I reckon you'd think Johnson was the bowler returning from injury.
Clark? Sure!Because Clark, Johnson and Siddle are better bowlers and have been for a while now?
I lol'd
Way too subtle for me, I'm afraid. Combination of generally being frazzled and whatever energy I did have being sapped by having to teach Year 10 at the end of the day.Quite so. Chose to in fact, which was the error I was attempting to point out in my arse-about-face way.
Yeah, Johnson's obviously your banker, but Lee's gone ok for me. Clark the pick of the bowlers tho.Yeah, decent point about Johnson. But, realisitically, Johnson is out there to have a gallop and get some overs in before the first Test, and Lee is fighting for his career. Hence the appearances.
Fair assumption I suppose but it hasn't really happened that way. His pace has been up and although he hasn't caused too many problems, he definitely seems to have been putting his all into it.Lee with no no-balls would tend to indicate he's bowling within himself, yeah?
If he is, he'd be scary flat out. Been constantly over 90mph. By far the quickest bowler on display from either side.Lee with no no-balls would tend to indicate he's bowling within himself, yeah?
No, I used completely the wrong terminology, nothing to do with subtly.Way too subtle for me, I'm afraid. Combination of generally being frazzled and whatever energy I did have being sapped by having to teach Year 10 at the end of the day.
I read some reports that Harmy was scary fast. Or was that just the typical media exaggeration? If he is, he'd be scary flat out. Been constantly over 90mph. By far the quickest bowler on display from either side.
Harmy was up and around 90mph in his first spell, but slid back to mid-high 80s as day went on. Lee consistently over 90. Brett's the quicker bowler anyway tho.I read some reports that Harmy was scary fast. Or was that just the typical media exaggeration?
Jeez there's been some nonensense posted in here recently
Lee has bowled quickly and accurately on a flat deck
He should've had 1-0 and 2 for not many
The Lions are 168-0 because of a blind umpire, a keeper that cant catch and crap from Johnson and Hauritz - no blame to Lee at all
AWTAs.Harmy was up and around 90mph in his first spell, but slid back to mid-high 80s as day went on. Lee consistently over 90. Brett's the quicker bowler anyway tho.
TBF to Harmy it's the best I've seen him bowl in literally years tho.
Even when he was bowling much quicker than what he now is, he was never successful in slow and low conditions, and nothing much has changed since then, he still can bowl at good pace, and as I said before, on a bouncy deck with decent pace, he still can prove to be a handful. He is supposed to be an express, strike bowler. He's in the team exactly for conditions like these - where he is the bowler who can offer something that no one else possesses, raw pace and intimidation factor.
He ain't got it anymore.
That's exactly the thing that worries me pretty bad.Lee with no no-balls would tend to indicate he's bowling within himself, yeah?
